Thanks bud!

Well as mentioned... still busy as hell but here's some progress. Early on I was talked into running a set of 315 Mickey Thompson tires. Original plan was big tire! Reminder Gary... don't change your plans! Had to shorten the rear end again to go big tire.

Ran the two forward down bars and started mocking up the radiator mount. Also working on fabbing up two side tanks... one for methanol or race fuel and the other for pump gas. Here's some pics

Re: 66 Pro Street Build (Domeringer)

How far back on on the from the front of the frame did you cut it? How did you decide to cut there? I'm currently working on a relatively similar build not nearly as stout but I'm replacing the frame rails and back halfing the truck but I'm leaving the front stub but changing the cross member and suspension.

Hi Steve, LOL it's odd to see 2 together in the pic.... can never seem to find one.

Hi Grunt, I cut the frame between the front cab mount holes. The frame straightens out there and if you use the mounts you can sandwich the frame cut for more strength. Here's a pic

Thank you Frank! If you post a build thread send me a link... I'd like to take a look see!

Ok workin on it! As I mentioned the truck will have two tanks one for high octane and the other for C16 race fuel. Started welding everything together... here's some pics of the layout. Will post details of innards next week.

Thanks guys!

Figure'd some of you might like to see how the tanks are fabbed, so I'm going to get a little detailed on how the tanks and fuel system are designed and put together.

The left tank is going to be mainly used for street use. Premium gas and maybe some E85 if we push the tune. Here's the in tank pump I'll use for this system.

The right side tank will be ready for high HP. Race fuels only! It will contain another in tank pump that will only transfer the fuel to a surge tank up front that will contain 2 or three additional pumps to supply fuel bigly here's an excellent example for reference... RADIUM

I'm going to machine and fab all of components and make my own version... more on that later.

Made a lot of progress this week! Bent up some tube and attached them to the frame for mounting the tanks and started finish welding the tanks. Here's some pics

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Gary, I have nothing to add except massive admiration.

Your build is in such a different world.

Well... up with the birds! Here's some update pics of the fuel hat design. Laid out the o'ring sealed electric insulators and inserted one of them into the hat, also added the tank seal o'ring groove and lightened the hat a bit more... good to go!

Re: 66 Pro Street Build (Domeringer)

Glad to see this truck still going. Sorry for all the annoying questions in the past, I have since done my research and figured things out. I can't wait to see this done. I don't know if a 71 El Camino counts as a truck but I'm gonna start my build thread here thank you for the "truck" inspiration it kept me from going the typical Cameron drag car kind of build.

Hi Isaiah, Thank you! El Camino's are trucks in my eyes... what could be cooler than a car and a pickup in one. I may have a go at one someday. Your questions are not annoying and I look forward to following your build... please be sure to give me the heads up when you get started with the thread.

Have been very busy in my spare time, programming and machining parts for this fuel pump setup. Another weekend of machining and I'll post up some pics...

Will do, so far all I have is about 230 feet of chromoly and a 71 El Camino with a 69 chevelle front clip from vfn once I get some space to start slicing and dicing I'll get a thread going and some progress going.
