Re: How old were you when your truck was new?

My baby is two years younger than I am, she has had only three owners including myself and in our time together I have updated her with many things and more to come this year. I was 2, would have loved a 65 but can't deny my love for the 67-72 body lines and style.

Re: How old were you when your truck was new?

Mine was built in Nov 71, so I would have just turned 1.

Trucks almost as old as me. And we both need a LOT of work.

Re: How old were you when your truck was new?

I was six years old, mom said before I was one dad bought me a medal truck (I hope it was a Chevy I can't remember) I took out of his hands and pushed it around all day long. I think that's what started it all.

Re: How old were you when your truck was new?

Thanks Matt for recognizing all veterans. I was 19 and 1yr. away from being drafted, when my 67 was built. We visited the Nephew in Sevierville 18 yrs. ago. He took us to Smoky MT. Knife Works. 2 great places! Dick

Soldiers sacrifice so much for our way of life. The least I can do is thank them and show my support.

My dad graduated high school in '72. He went to college for about a 1 1/2 semesters, but wasn't able to keep up with school and make a living, so he quit to work full time while my mom continued her schooling. The war ended, or stalemated, and the draft stopped. My parents both knew a guy at the draft board office. He later told them that dad's name was in the next group of draftees to be selected.

If you ever make it back to Sevierville, give me a shout. I'm always up for meeting fellow truck nuts like myself. Also, the Knife Works has grown since then, and they've added a gun store inside as well.
