Re: Show us you're seats

Ok guys, this seams (lol) like the right place to ask...

I have what I think is the original bench that had been re-covered. I like the seat cover that is on it but it is ripped to shreds. I cannot find the duplicate anywhere- which got me to looking at other years but what I am wondering is, will other years fit? How kick a$$ would it be to have a houndstooth seat cover on a '64? I think it would be the bee's knees. So... do other years fit, if so which ones?

I will see if I can get a picture of the old one for refference.

Re: Show us you're seats

The typical houndstooth seat cover is made for the 71-72 bench. It is different from our years. There's a guy that sells them in the 67-72 parts board (board name Truckseats) and he told me that he could make one for our year trucks. Ultimately I chose to go a different route, but I've seen his covers and they are first rate!

(note: sorry if the posted pic didn't come with, I'm referring to malibob's question about likearock's seat)

not sure if you ever figured out where this seat or cover came from, but I think I recognize that seat cover, it looks a lot like the original on my 1985 K10 Custom Deluxe. I remember it pretty well, I sat in that seat for 270K miles (bought it new) had the seat rebuilt completely once. The guy who redid it matched the original for me almost dead on. I can't see if that material in the pic has a fine textured finish on the pleated part, mine did. The color and the layout of the pattern looks to be the same as mine. That could be a squarebody seat, right?

in regards to mine, the seat is an original/factory style seat...and the material does not have a textured finish

yeah, I didn't really notice the adj. mechanism, I can see it's not a later seat, but I'm still guessing it's no coincidence that it looks so much like a stock 85. Might be an OEM '85 cover, or an aftermarket "look-alike" or copy? Either that or it's a REMARKABLE coincidence!

that old '85 truck of mine broke in half, after commercially plowing snow for 17 years...been gone now almost 10 years, so I can't look at it, but your seat cover sure looks familiar.
By the way, that's a great looking interior ya got.

2006 silverado, 40/20/40, pwr both sides with console storage. They look just like the 1999's above, but dark grak in color.

Re: Show us you're seats

Just finished mine yesterday. After a divorce and spending money so my wife could have the fine leather bags, I decided that I use my black sense of humor and would make a mockery of it and redo my interior in fine LV style. My two girls love it, so that makes me so happy. Still have to finish carpet etc., but here it is as of now.

For my truck, I was thinking of doing that diamond stitched stuff, with a differant flat material going down in the middle like that, but making it look similar to the line on the top/center of the hood.

is that really how you feel?

Folks are reporting you for the comments.. so I would suggest the old saying if you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Its fine to not like what others do, but bashing is not allowed thanks!
