Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
First big tree in the backyard came down last night! Making room for the new pole barn for the K5! Maybe another one tonight, if it stops raining. About 6 more big trees to take out to make enough space for the barn. Can't wait to get it done!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Even your small progress is more than my progress! LOL! I don't think I've worked on my blazer for 5 mos. or so. I've just been too busy with work. I WILL get after it soon! Glad to see you are still making progress.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Thank's turp! Working on electrical issues now, new battery keeps going dead fast? Not real good with electrical stuff, but I am trying to figure it out on my own. Got the charger on it right now, and going out later to work on it some more.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Think I have the electrical problem solved for now. Battery seems to be holding up. Pole barn for K5 storage is looking to cost more than expected, waiting on contractor bids to see which way to go! 3 bids so far, gotta find the best deal, with the least work from me, way to busy at work right now. Long post, but still waiting on Ballistic to ship my parts or even respond to me. Been 20 days since paypaled them. You would think I would get at least an e-mail saying what's up?

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Good luck with Ballistic, There are countless threads about them on pirarte in the bad sellers forum, many people filing lots of credit card disputes with them. Sounds like they are using new customers money for previous customers orders. Good luck.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Thank's bbc72! I just went through all that stuff on pirate, and once again, I have screwed up. Not the first internet order mistake I have made. I can only hope that Ballistic steps up and makes it right with me. I just sent another e-mail to the manager there, and hope to get some news. Not to trash them yet but, anyone thinking of buying from them, go to pirate and check out the history. They have about $600.00 of my money and no product shipped to me yet. I WILL keep you guy's posted on any progress!

Waiting on the shippment of DOM from Ballistic. Here's a couple pic's, one of the parts that arrived today and one of the boss with the parts.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Thank's VA. Got 1 bid so far, and 3 others coming. Really ready to get going on it, gonna run out of summer here too soon! So far, by looking at these Ballistic parts, it was worth the wait and worry. Not a bad price either, about 6 bills for high steer arms and crossover setup with shipping. Plus the arms eliminate the kingpin spring. Can't wait to swap these 1 tons in.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Only progress today was I got two stumps ground out next to pole barn site. Can't seem to figure out what is draining the battery, got to be a wire touching somewhere? Been working 7 days a week, but have tommorrow off so maybe have some time.

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Oh, I think today was a good day! Got my final shipment from Ballistic. I stated in a earlier post that I was waiting for the DOM tubing, but it is actually 2 -1.5" OD .250 wall tubes for the tie rod and drag link- both 58" long. Also got the third bid on the pole barn today, and it looks like it's a go! Wife say's it's all good, builder is a local guy I have known for years. BEAT other bids hands down. Permits pending, can start on it first of next week! That works out great, as I, or we, are on vacation camping all next week! He say's possibly have it done by the time I get home. All the worrying about Ballistic worked out ok for me. 11 days in a row off for me after friday, Yaaaaaaa!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Talked to my contractor friend tonight, he came by and looked over the site. I added a couple things to the build, but still comes in under budget. A go on my end, permits pending by the weekend, start next Monday!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Sorry no K5 progress yet, still working on the barn. Had 6 more yards of sand dropped last night, and spread it around tonight to level things off outside the barn. Ordered up 14 more yards of sand to level off the back hill toward the river, also some top soil coming so I can get the grass seed planted soon!Gotta get the cement cured and the approach leveled off so I can pull the Blazer in and take some pic's! Can't wait!

Re: My new build thread: Stage 4!
Thank's guy's! Now that the building is done, I will get back on the K5 build real soon! Working on how I want to lay out the inside for max area use. Need to set up the tool area, and of course, the lounging area! Concentrating on saving cash for the next step, axles installed, shackle flip, high steer/crossover, 1 ton brake booster/mc setup, new poly body mounts, bumpers mounted, etc! Luckily, I already have almost all the stuff ready to do the swap! Need to get all that done and then line up the cash for my bodyman to weld in all my new sheetmetal! Also still want to go with the HAD drivelines setup eventually, so more cash will be needed there. Man, I am getting closer every day, at least now the K5 is here and not in storage anymore! I am VERY excited!
