Re: Project N2Deep
Have you considered silver or black over red leather? Good examples of black over red trucks would be neatoldstuff's 72 (sold, I think?) and f.monroe/N2Trux's squarebodies. And although I can't think of any, I'm sure somebody on here has a silver over red truck. But either of those combos are classic -- they make me think of a gullwing mercedes or a 57 vette.

Re: Project N2Deep
It seems like most of the silver cars & trucks done now have a red interior. Even though I steal most of my ideas from other peoples rides, I do want it to look diff from everyone elses (silver) ride. For me the hard part is getting the exterior color right, I think the inside will be easy.
Well I'm leaning towards the Lincoln silver (birch) it has a little of a titanium color to it. The Mercedez silver looks great with low light, but is a little bit too light in direct sun light for me. I've been looking at some two tone cars and truck and its got me considering that again. But the wrong lines or color will def kill the look on a two tone paint job. Got my Early Classic Ent order the next day I ordered it, still waiting on everyone else. |

Re: Project N2Deep
Ok, I stopped by the shop and it looks like the work is going slow. He said cab forward is almost ready for final primer. He ran into some problems with the shaved drip rail in front of the cab (high/low spots and thin spots.) He was also getting some cars ready for a local car show and said he will get moving on the project now.
I got California "black" plates for the white 67 & Super Cheyenne off ebay. I also put the buddy seats in the 67. |

Re: Project N2Deep
Well they sold the camaro, so my bank account is safe. I stopped by the shop and almost sh~t myself. I saw the top of a silver truck in the back corner of the shop. For a min I thought it was another truck, nope mine with some paint on it! After 5 years it's finally coming together.
Looks like he is doing a good job, only the cab and firewall are painted, but it looks pretty good. I only have crappy iPhone pics, but will take some more when the front clip is on next week! Last edited by Raguemoe; 10-22-2009 at 02:29 AM. |

That silver looks nice.
What silver did you decide on? Where did you find your bucket seats? What shop is doing the work for you? David |

Re: Project N2Deep
It is a 5/7 drop from CPP (Grand slam 2" modular spindles, 3" front springs, cross drilled rotors, 2" blocks, 5" rear springs and c- notch). Almost too low with the rally's (hits on speed bumps etc...)

Re: Project N2Deep
I went with the Lincoln (Birch) and I'm real happy with it. I got the seats from a board member. The shop's name is Minc Kustom's in Rialto. PM me for the number.
I plan on changing the interior color on the white truck to black next year! And if all goes well with the project I plan on painting the Super Cheyenne 4x4! |
