Re: [Project] "Fnlow69" PART II
Wow you sure are jumping al the way in now aren't you? Looks good, like the dash! On the chop (I have never done one of our trucks) would it have been easier to cut out the headliner in one piece, set it aside. Then do the outer roof work so you could hammer and dolly the welds out and then replace the headliner in 1 piece and add fillers to the sides? Like I said I have not done one of these but on the others I have done I always like full access to the roof skin until I am finished welding it all off.

That is one sexy bracket.
Roof line looks great! It really forces you to look twice to figure out whats diff. about it. Just the right amount of chop. Thanks for the photos. |

Re: [Project] "Fnlow69" PART II
cause its simplier i guess, i never really thought about a watts link to tell you the truth. Also theres not much clearance between the diff housing and that rear crossmember. Plus with the canti/rocker arms theres already going to be a lot going on back there.

When you weld the brackets to the axle, is there fluid inside?

They look B/A!
Im surprised your attaching the axle end, inboard the frame.Wont that make for excess body roll? Last edited by Inverter; 12-29-2009 at 11:51 PM. |

Re: [Project] "Fnlow69" PART II
Theres no question it will work,I was just thinking you were going to run the arms parallel w/the axle tube w/the link bars reaching over the frame. I think 1badsvt has that kind of setup,,dont remember exactly.
Im not a suspension guru,by any stretch,I just know that its best to attach the load supporting links as far out as possible so the transfer of weight isnt accentuated as the vehicle turns.I almost sound like I know what Im saying Last edited by Inverter; 12-30-2009 at 12:19 PM. |
