Re: Greg65 build thread
It would be cool if Flip and Paul both showed up with their trucks.

Nice job on the cab repairs. I got to do that little trick with the welded nut on the inside of a peice of sheet metal also. Keep up the nice work!

Re: Greg65 build thread
Removed broken mirrir bolt. Working door gaps. The door and cab coner wasn't even. Found a big dent I some how over looked. I was able to hammer and dolly it out. I spilt the metal and put it where I wanted it.

I thought about flaring it myself but I think I will let our local hose and tubing business make it up. I have been watching your build for awhile and awsome work. Posted via Mobile Device

Alan is great to work with. I would like to help more living a hour away limits that pretty well. But then again I stay out of his way and let the master work is magic.

Re: Greg65 build thread
The process of putting the rib in the floor. This will hold true for most patches.
First I cut out the new piece then taped it where I wanted it. Then I screwed it in place. I use a thin 1/16" cutoff wheel and cut out around it. I cut slits in the end to form the taper. Then used magnets to hold it in place while i tacked it. You could also cut out the bad place then put it on the new patch and do it that way. Which the way I mostly do it, but I had such a small piece to work with I did it this way that is pictured.

Re: Greg65 build thread
I used a small screw driver to even the pieces up as i tacked it. Then welded by skipping around to keep the heat from wrapping the metal. Then ground the welds flat.
