They are 90-96 Silverado or Van Center caps. I got them from place called newtakeoff.com. If you go there you can search by vehicle and find them. They are used but the ones I received were in mint condition and came with the plastic lug nut covers for a very reasonable price. You can find the double threaded lug nuts on eBay.

Thanks much. I'll check them out.
Nice ride by the way. I like the stance. Just right. Forgot to mention that in my last post.

65 GMC 88+ up rear end, 20x10 Boss 338, 275/40/20
I moved the axle on top of the leaf springs using Moroso spring perches and removed the 2 of the 3 flat leafs. Tires barely rub the fenders. I'm just going to roll the fender lips flat.
We are doing a 73-87 crossmember swap up front with 3" DJM drop spindles and some cut coils.

Cool stepside!
Looks like the use of the early 63-69 rearend with aftermarket 5-lug axles is the answer.
(since they are 3/4" per side narrower)
I'm going to try and remember this swap if I ever own a 60-66 truck.

How close is your tire to the bedside?

Thanks! I have about 3/4 between the tire and the bed side.

eldogg,

how low are you right now with those wheels? I'm trying to squeeze a 20x12 underneath my step fenders but I am lowering mine with the porterbuilt coilover dropmember. Not sure exactly how much it will lower it but they say the frame is only like 5.5" off the ground...I may have to do a 20x10 or 20x9.5... yuck

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Maybe a dumb question, but what I gather, to do a drop spindle you have to convert to disc brakes, right?

I have a 1964 and want to do a 5/7 drop.
I checked with CPP and ECE, anyone else I can check out?

I think to get 20x12 under a stepside you will have to tub the bed. I only have about 3/4" clearance on the inside.

I searched some of your posts, and I couldn't find more pics of this truck.
I would sure like to see more of this one.

Sorry I've been slacking on this truck. It's my little brother's truck and I have a bad habit of working on paying customers stuff first.
I'm machining the lower control arm shafts for more caster and hope to have the front done in a couple of weeks. I'm gonna start a build thread on it then. Stay tuned.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Here is mine. 5" CPP drop springs in the rear. 3" CPP drop springs in the front that have been cut down 'a little'...

I'm actually in the process of going thru the front suspension with drop spindles to improve the suspension geometry. Ball joints look like the buttons on a fat man's coat!
