Re: Sold American!
lot of products from China that would be tariff'd hard coming into the US, are being diverted to Mexico and then imported. Reboxing happens at that point too I'm sure

Re: Sold American!
I have an automotive bench work shop I've use for decades. Sometimes I just have to have the alternator or started right now, so I go buy a questionable new part. I pay the core and keep the good part to have rebuilt when I can. They can keep the core charge. The option for a lifetime part is the same part, but you pay more so you can return it more. and now I see Advance has limited to a once in a lifetime warranty. smoke and mirrors.
Anymore, the terms "junk" and "POS" have been redefined from being worn out old items to being brand new stuff, while "quality item" means the things people are throwing out and not the new stuff. You have to look harder to see if there is still a quality option remaining. But now that is hard to know, because that name you grew to depend on may have made the switch to putting their box around the same cheaply made crap you could have bought for 30% less since the last time you made a purchase.

My Resistol hat was beginning to show some age so I asked Santa for a new one. Still made in Texas, USA.

I'm afraid to ask what that hat cost, given that the label says "Big Money"!

I've been buying some new hand tools lately and have found it pretty easy to find made in USA

Re: Sold American!
I’ve got a rubber mallet from Estwing- well made product.
I’ve got a few knives from this company now. It started with a tomato knife. I didn’t know there was a specific knife style for a tomato but it works well. If you slice a lot of tomatoes I recommend one. I believe the tomato knife cost me $6 Box of toys that caught my eye at Menards. New snow boots.

Re: Sold American!
Lol! No, drill bit. I was re-attaching the lower garage door seals when the drill slipped and the Phillips bit went trough my nail. Missed the bone fortunately.

Re: Sold American!
Screw gun tip bites can be nasty. They make driving screws easier, but they can make you pay for that convenience
