Beautiful work Kyle!

By the way when you cruise to KC on Saturday, are you heading to any shows? I'm running up to KS to pick up my '72 doors, and then I'm going to try and stop by Doug's. Might run into you there...
Thanks, I'm going to the show I posted a few pages back.

Re: '67 Short Step #2

that is an absolutely gorgeous truck man, you have every right to be proud of that beast.

But, I realllly wanna hear that 250 run man. If you can post pics through photobucket, then you can post vids - just go through the upload process.

c'mon...we want media man! haha

Kyull, buddy, whoa! That turned out real nice bud. I'm glad you kept the bed color. Have you revealed your interior plans yet? 2 tone seat and door panels to match?
When I get time I'm gonna have to read this whole thread all over again. Congrats.

Oh and I found the attachment bolt for my factory in bed tire mount. I think I posted a pic of the mount for you a while back. It's nothing more than a large carriage bolt and a nut and large washer. The square carriage head slides down in the slot and does not turn.

Hey thanks, Interior plans for now are to keep it simple. I'll work on it here and there when I get bored but to be honest I am tired of working on this thing. It's not as much fun when it's 95 degrees in the garage. So instead of working on it and spending money on parts, I'll be driving it and spending money on gas. I'm still thinking about the spare but I don't have bed wood yet either. So my winter projects will be interior, bed wood, and a Turbo.

Ask and you shall recieve. Keep in mind that it wasn't tuned yet and I'm trying to break it in somewhat gently. Enjoy the video.

Great looking truck.

My son and I are going to start building a '67 short stepper soon and your progress and pictures gives us inspiration.

Thanks. I hope your guys' turns out great. If it's the truck in your avatar I'd say you've got a pretty good foundation to build off.

Re: '67 Short Step #2

Pictures from today. I made it to Blue Springs with no problems. The first half of the 185 Mile trip sucked because I was driving in a thunderstorm. Other than that it was fun. The truck has absolutley no problem passing people either. My dog even likes it!

Re: '67 Short Step #2

Thanks for all the compliments and yes, It does feel pretty good to actually drive it especially passing people on the highway.

I just made it back from Kansas City with no problems and the truck now has about 380 miles on it.

Re: '67 Short Step #2

Glad to hear that you didn't run into any issues on your trip over the weekend. I was really hoping to make it to the show on Saturday, but we decided to head back early after meeting with kingsolver72 and tcb-1. I hope to be able to see that truck in September... (hint hint)...

So everyone wants to know.... how many heads did you turn: 1.) when passing all those other vehicles? and 2.) running the inline 6?
