Re: ls turbo build
Anyone have any coating recommendations here In Oklahoma? Need to either coat all the hotside or wrap....depends on costs.. may leave the headers alone

Re: ls turbo build
Looking good. I like the aluminum downpipe. Glad I did mine that way too.

Re: ls turbo build
What's the reason for doing aluminum versus mild/stainless steel on the downpipe?

Re: ls turbo build
Looks good.
I'd run the DP further back or out the side, you're going to hate the drone. What heads are on the motor? FWIW, mine made ~650 on 8#.

Re: ls turbo build
It has a little bit of an angle facing down and out... if it's to loud I'll put a muffler on it...has 706 heads that have been worked.. kind of went overboard on everything for a bigger and better 427 ls for later.. here's a few picts with most of the ac stuff done..I'm getting close..still need some new valve covers, wires and a few small things..

Re: ls turbo build
Nice progress hadn't seen this build in a while by any chance do you have any close up piks how u tied in the hotside pipes to the turbo trying to get ideas for mine similar to yours I like the way this one turned out cause both banks look pretty close in length I've seen some with the drivers side all the way to the passenger then the pass just with a 90 to the turbo and like the way this one turned out keep up the good work

Re: ls turbo build
Nothing to much to see yet but when i get something to look at i will let you know. Haha. I dropped the motor and transmission in for fitment and set the cab back on it so I can figure out where to mount the computer. Got the wiring harness all broken apart to build my own.. once that gets done then the frame goes for sand blasting and powered coating. Got rust to fix on the cab . I like the way your truck looks tho. .
