Looks nice. Do you plan to coat the whole exhaust with something?

Nope! No plans to coat the exhaust. Just going to see how it holds up to daily driving! Lol

so nice to see that you went big block. seems like not too many of us go that route when doing a frame off like this. Keep up the awesome work. look forward to seeing the rest come together

Thanks! I figured what the heck! I see lots of LS builds and that seems to be the new norm these days. So I went old school big block! Lol
I just wanted something different that I could make look old and somewhat era correct. I tossed around the LS idea but I've built a few LS cars already and want something different to burn tires off with!

I'm going through the same dilemma right now. I have a 5.3/4L60e with all the related pieces/parts needed... but I also have a 468/700r4 that I gotta admit would look cool in Walter. I really think you made the right choice!!!

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

Time for another update! I had to get a few things painted before I could continue with assembly. I had to buy a new rear sport bumper as i just couldn't find a nice matching piece. So i did some interesting paint work to try and get it to mach the front bumper and the rest of the truck. Check it out it didn't turn out to bad and i will tweak the "patina" a little one its on the truck.

Bumper matched a little better once I put a coat of matt clear over it. Heres a few pics of painting the Rad cradle and Fender liners Flat black as well.

Really nice job on the bumper, I like how you did the patina on the bolt heads too.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

Looks good. You could hit the front bumper with barkeeper's friend and it will clean up quite a bit of the surface rust. Did that on the white of my wife's truck and was surprising how it cleaned up but still looks worn.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

Since the cabs back on I've been able to tackle a lot of little things like hook up the cpp shifter linkage and steering joints. I put the rebuilt heater box/core back in and finished that up. Pulled off the carb and gave it a rebuild and installed the new Msd wires and installed the fuse panel and ran some of the wiring.

Re: 67 C10 "Green Gobblin" straight from the field!

Next up we (my boy and I ) decided to tackle the heavy duty 4 core radiator and fan shroud from LMC. It didn't fit to bad after a little trimming of the lower cradle supports to drop the rad lower. Here's a few mock up pics.
