Re: Steel Wheeled 4x4's??

I decided to run what I brung and refinished the rallys and removed the rings. I am pretty happy with it.

I know a lot of guys like the trim rings but I think the wheels look great without them. I especially like the bigger windows of the 4x4 rallys as opposed to the 2-wheel drive versions.

Me too. This truck is so bare bones that the trim rings seemed like lipstick on a pig.

Dale, your truck almost looks out of place in a residential area. It's a natural for down on the farm or out in the woods. BTW I say that as a sincere compliment towards your truck!

Here’s an old one of mine on a set of OE square body 16’s. It’s actually got a set of late GMT-400’s on it for right now until I lift it a little.

Re: Steel Wheeled 4x4's??

Bringing this one back from the dead a little bit. Where is the best place to get some 15 x 8 6 lug steelies? I see them everywhere, but haven't came up with a great answer on best place to buy them. I see mixed reviews on backspacing and what can fit on a 72 k10, etc. I've got the caps already, just need me some steelies.

Thanks!

Finding some GM M1009 CUCV rims might still be the easiest way as they come up for sale from time to time. That's what's on my Blazer along with the Gov't issued 31" tires and '73 dog dishes. It's what I had laying around.
I don't know the exact backspacing but could measure a spare rim if needed.
