So tight! It's awesome that you got to drive it before and after the Porterbuilt suspension! How does it compare from stock to Dropmembered? What size exhaust did you run? I would also love to see pics of the inside of the bed! Awesome build drtyrat! Tony from Norcal Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
Thanks guys...
Dino thanks man, i have a few copied pics of your herd for my screen savers. The truck handles and drives amazing compaired to the way i got it. Porterbuilt got it right whith this set-up... i would say the sway bar is a must also, at high speed turns it is stable man.. I am running 2" exhaust pipe with headers and 16" glasspacks, i will get pictures of it for you soon. Thanks again all and Merry Christmas |

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
Here are some pics of the exhaust. They look close to the trailing arm but its just the camera angle, theres about 3/4" of room. I'm not sure if it will stay this way, i would like to run them out the back on each side of the license plate with fishtails somehow.

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
Thanks guys... It is sweet, i think im in love. These trucks are so cool man, and the sound of a crisp glasspack from a warm SBC is the best. I'm out wheel/tire shopping now. I say this with all my projects but i dont think i ever want to sell this one....

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
Why did you put your tank and compressors in back of the axle?

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
DRTYRAT30, your truck looks awesome!! how did you figure out your driveline specs to have it built? I am going to have the same thing done shortly on mine.

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
When I had mine done the shop that did it told me what measurements they needed. I think it was from the tail shaft housing to the center of the carrier bearing mount, then from the center of the carrier bearing mount to the edge of the pinion yoke (center of rear u-joints) at full lift, all the way down and at ride height.

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
I used this link
http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/app/...iagrams/m.html and printed this form out then took it to my Drivline guy. The angles were figured out by me and Nate at Porterbuilt. |

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
You can run as many as you need, because they are ported to the tank. I will add another one to the other side, one is a little slow. The VU4 has two intake ports that you can run line from the tank. Thanks

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
Well I went over to Stockton Wheel and think I'm having them make me some 15" steel smoothies with a 2 3/4 WW and a set of the bullet center caps and the wheels will get powder coated in a dark red like the interior of the truck.
