Re: My 1959 Fleetside Build

Thanks -hooch-.
I sold all the trim. I have not touched my truck in a while. I bought a house (with a freakin 3 car garage) and have been working solidly to get it ready to move in while getting my old house ready to sell. I am going to move it to my new house very soon.

Sounds good. Can't wait to see it finished up! Good luck on selling the old house.

Re: My 1959 Fleetside Build

Well... It has been a while. I finally got my truck in the garage to work on. Finished up working on the new house and have some truck time now.
I have worked on the floor for a month now. I had cut so much to allow for my S10 frame years ago that I had to rebuild the floor. I used the 4WD cover to allow for my tranny height. It is all done now and I am motivated to work on it.

Making progress. Got the hood mounted. Put in the front and back glass. Lots of little ( but time consuming ) stuff left to do. I am motivated. Shilo Black is putting me to shame.

I recognized that truck right off the bat, really enjoyed your build thread.
I wish I had the $, would make for a Merry Christmas to park it under the tree.

Re: My 1959 Fleetside Build

I picked up a great panel I want to build. It is in fantastic shape and came with a truckload of extra parts. (New clip and doors in the boxes) Now I just need to convince the wife I need both of my trucks.

Do a search you will be surprised how much it is worth if you decide to not keep it. There was a thread here last year on that trim and I found this.
