Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod
Vic and I have been planning something very special for the interior of the truck.
I will give you all a little hint, it has something to do with the climate control area of the dash, as for the reveal it will be a few weeks so you will have to wait and see. |

Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod
Hey, Soon I will be needing some kind of seam sealer. I need to seal the cab roof to the sides. What do I need to get and where is it avabily at? You know by telling us your climate control project is like temping a child with candy. But just like children we will have to wait and see.

Hey all;
I went to the salvage yard and got the gas pedal and TAC wiring I needed today, new that stuff would have costed me nearly $200 and I picked it up for $43 I thought that was a pretty good deal. Last edited by Xeen; 04-10-2013 at 06:37 PM. |

Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod
Will the USB power adapter fit in the existing cigarette lighter hole? Or does it plug into it?

The BMW USB Power adapter will plug into any standard 12v receptacle.

Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod
hey all;
I got lucky and the entire sub harness was still there for the fan setup, so I dont have to buy any electrical stuff. I forgot to get the battery tray though, oops. The radiator is alot wider than I imagined it would be, mounting it will be fun considering it isn't as tall either, so the stock radiator mounting bracket kit I bought awhile back isn't going to work, yay... |

Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod
Hey all;
I ordered my fuel line fittings and clips today. I decided to use 3/8" to -6 AN Tube Nuts and run 3/8" steel lines for both my supply and return lines. This will allow me to use a simple 37 degree flare on a steel line, and save a ton of money over a braded hose setup with the added bonus that it will be more robust over time. It took me quite a bit of research and time to figure this out and hopefully this will save someone some time in the future. Here are the fittings I used with links. Re: 1968 Chevrolet SWB Stepside Restomod
Hey all;
Thanks to the talents of Victor and the small contribution of my imagination here is the Climate Control Bezel. The Bezel has yet to be polished but I couldn't wait to show it to you guys so after it's polished I will install it into the dash and take another picture. That looks good! I'm jealous over the gas tank... On my list just haven't got there yet. How did it fit? Any problems?
