Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
That looks great Chad!
Just sorry it took 2 solid weeks to get down there to you!! I have to get a new core, or get the inlet/outlet re-braised before I can install it on the truck. Otherwise it is sitting on a shelf done.

Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
Hey i know a guy that tigs on alumium raditors for fun.. Put any good rad shop should be able to rebraise the inlet.. But honestly if it is 50 years old why not just get new.. Only 40 or so online. check here
http://www.car-stuff.com/store/?N=98...921+4294963075 It would cost about 1/2 that to get it brased and still be 50+ years old.. |

He must be the one that stopped by my place, and took my gas filler tube. It was there when I took the truck apart, but it aint there now.

Nice to see your making some progress.....it's been awhile since i had a chance to stop by and see how the build was going. I have been up to my neck on my own builds. Looking good by the way......oh and wait till the kids are old enough to use your tools....then watch them all disappear...lol

Re: my '64 c-10 swb project with steel floor from a '70
not a real update, just wondering! i'm looking for a chevy fleetside tailgate in really good shape, 198plus had one! and for the right price too! but i didnt have the money at the time! i do now, i put an add in the wanted section but thought i would post it here since some people dont look over there as much as they do here!! any help would be great and pictures would help! i also thought about buying a new one, but i'm wanting to save some money so i can finish my truck!!
i've been really thinking my truck wont be done this year but next year! been adding things up that i need to get it atleast running and to the point that it just needs to be painted and i really dont know right now!! the wife said when we get are tahoe paid off that we can spend more money to get my truck done, but thats not til sept.!! didnt get as much back for income taxes as we thought!!

Are you needing an original gas filler tube? I have one for a 57. They appear to be similar

mcmurphy, my b-day is sept. 18th.!
small update, seen a craigslist ad for a tailgate called the guy he wants only $50 for it, john (clydes65) lives in the same area(dallas/fort worth, texas), i pm'd john about it and he said he would go look at it for me! i'm hoping everything goes good and john can get the guys hood and i can get the tailgate! i got to look around more on craigslist, a good straight tailgate with only one dent for $50 is a steal!!
