Re: Starting a 52 Chevy 3100 Project.

Just love the Patina look of your truck. Can't remember if you said or not but was there any other lettering on the door besides what looks like an eagle?

Thanks. I am pretty happy with it. Definitely worth the extra $50 in knobs. Cant wait to get the actual A/C installed.

Thanks!!! Yeah I was torn whether to put a bumper on or not but I am glad I did. I have a receiver hitch I am going to put on but have to get the exaust moved a little toward the front for it to not to hit it.

Thanks!!! It says Eagle spirit. I would eventually like to find an artist to paint it the way I really want it. Here is a pic.

Re: Starting a 52 Chevy 3100 Project.

Got a new windshield, rear glass, and new rubber put on the quarter windows. Also finally got the new license plate I ordered a month ago. Also picked up a blazer rear end to swap out.

I only have a few things left to do. Finish the 1 piece windows, install the rest of the A/C, install wider rear end, bed floor wood and do new wheels and tires with the correct offset.

Looks good! I thought I was the only one using huge 3" spacers to stagger my wheels. Looks like you had to do the same

Yeah no more spacers on the rear end. I only have 1 inch spacers on the front as well. I had the 3" spacers on all wheels and the turning radius was really affected by them on the front. That would be the biggest reason not to use them in the front.

Re: Starting a 52 Chevy 3100 Project.

Here is my dad taking it home a few weeks ago. Still need to finish up the A/C and bed wood. He was having issues with the throttle cable sticking because it was pretty long and in a loop. It was binding up a little. When I went to take it off plastic on it broke. Must have been sitting on a shelf for years. I ended up ordering up a new one and cutting it way down yesterday and re-crimping the ends on it. He put it on today and said its working great. Working on my next project which is a shed(almost done) for a short while then its on to work on my 69 Mustang.

Nice truck! So hows the one-piece door glass working out? Who makes the kit? Easy install?

They are working pretty good. I have had to re-glue the seal on the outside a few times. I used the ones from https://www.classictruckglass.com/. There support was helpful as well. They called me right back.
