Re: 67cheby DM 3.2 install, W/PB 4link, PB hood hinges

More progress, got my fuel cell, made a frame for it to set in. got a brace in place in front of the fuel cell, made frame gussets and got them welded in in front of the notch, mocked up battery mount... tonight working on the compressor mounts , got the upper bag mounts in the works, i think everyone is going to like them got a pretty cool idea for the upper mounts

Re: 67cheby DM 3.2 install, W/PB 4link, PB hood hinges

Very nice! Is that the KP components watts link? Did u have to modify it to make it level? The pics look like u cut down the bars? I plan on doing the PB trailing arm set up with the KP watts so just curious what u had to do to make it work? Thanks.

Re: 67cheby DM 3.2 install, W/PB 4link, PB hood hinges

i did cut down the bars(i think i shortened them about an inch), i might replace them altogether, i am contacting kp today to check on them sending me another set of bars, it was a pain trying to get the heim joints in and out , that is my only complaint with the watt link

Re: 67cheby DM 3.2 install, W/PB 4link, PB hood hinges

That watts link does look good on there. I see you welded it on, but would it have been easy to bolt it up as well? Would you have had to drill/tap the notch itself to do so?

Re: 67cheby DM 3.2 install, W/PB 4link, PB hood hinges

i guess you could do it before you welded the notch together, but than placement would be an issue??? so i just welded it on !!

Do you think the bars just needed the threads cleaned out with a tap, prior to installing the heim joints?
Or was there another problem?

Hey Cheby,

What made you go with the watts link, instead of the pan hard bar?

Also, how high is your truck for "ride height"?

Thanks for all the updates, looking good.
