LS1 will leave you missing the low end torque of a gen 1 SBC.

Really, stock the Z06 has double the horsepower and probably over 100ft/lbs more torque. Torque curve seems pretty flat too.

I hope I'm happy with it.

While the peak numbers look good, look at where the torque curve starts. The LS/LQ platforms prefer to be spun hard, more revs. The off idle torque is not the same. I can legitimately give you a comparison in the case of my Z28. The TPI 350 was a torque monster, but the 6.0 spins to 7k effortlessly and makes 425rwhp. Makes for 2 different cars.

looks like you need to replace %5 at each spot with [ and the %5D at each spot with ]

Started teardown on Friday night...

Dang thats a lot of wires from TBI motor!

Getting rid of a bunch of it...then loom it all

Saturday was fittin Slosh Tubz filler panels, wiring, pull apart the dash for the Dakot Digital guages etc...

Sunday, putting the motor!, trans, t-case, driveline and dash back together

Kind of changed plans...For now the motor is staying the way it came out of the corvette. It was resealed, and 'wearables' changed out and that's it. The corvette was very healthy and had only 25K miles so I'm just going to see how I like it. The trans is a fully built 4l65e and my 'old' 241C transfer case. Keeping this trans meant keeping my 241C which saves me time and money.

Yeah it was some long days for sure. Shawn's been my buddy for 20+ years so I knew what I was getting myself into. When that guy is ready to work you better be ready!

Yes Ikandy, Trend and Tre are neighbors...all friends, work together and I think ALL turn out insane cars in their own respects.
