Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

just saw this thread and first want to say sorry to hear about your mother, but i must say i agree on the last rendering that is just simply eye catching with the colors, wood bed, wheels and logo.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

Carter did an awesome job on the rendering Eric, Intro did a killer job on the wheels - heck the whole thing is going to be top notch all the way around.

One small suggestion if I may. Since you're going with a clean look, I'd get rid of the badges on the front fenders. I live vicariously through your builds. Terrific stuff every time.

i followed your pops 72 cheyenne build on Nates forum and fell in love with that truck and actually just got off the phone a bit ago with Jay from American Pastimes setting up an order and heard you sold it. this will be an absolutely amazing truck. bad ass build! i am in!
Thanks I am glad you like the build. American past times is the best. They are great people and are honest.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

I lost my dad to cancer a few years back. He never got to see my truck finished, which really bothers me still. It was his when I was a kid and became mine when I started driving. My mom almost cried when she got to see it this winter and said my dad would have been blown away with what I did to his old truck. I met my wife with this truck and have a lifetime of memories in it.

Heres to a lifetime of memories yet to come for you, your family and especially your mom. Your second chance build was over the top in my book. Can't wait to see the details on this one that take it up another notch. The door logo is outstanding btw.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

As usual, I'm late to the show.... Great build SF! I'm sure your Mom will be proud. Actually, I have stayed away from this thread because it hits close to home. It took my Mom having a stroke two years ago before I finally started getting my priorities straight. Not that I'm a bad son, but I didn't spend as much time with her as I should have. Life is so fast paced nowadays and it's easy to make excuses for not doing the things you know you should. It's been tough on her dealing with the stroke, but through it all she has helped me become a better person AND helped me prioritize my life correctly. None of us can change the past, however, we can change the future. SF, I apologize for hi-jacking your thread, blessings to your Mom and your family.

Re: Tootsie build for my mother with cancer

I understand were you are coming from I find it hard to see my mom as much as I would like. Only because I am raising three kids and running a buisness. Life does not stop when these kind of things hit your family. So we spend as much time with our loved ones as we can and make the best of it. Hope all is well with your mom.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I just lost my father-in-law to the same cancer. He was a huge gear head. Good luck with your build.
