Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

Great progress this weekend, Got the longbed frame stripped and ready for Clem !

Cab off the frame and wire wheeled the whole bottom of the cab to get ready to be glass bead blasted, of course you then expose all the extra rust. Still not bad

here is the other rust shots....for some reason the pictures came out crappy !

I never like the way the aftermarket rockers fit in the back of the door and my factory ones are good in that area thinking of doing it this way ......Any input ? good or bad idea ?

What ended up working best for you on stripping the bottom of the cab? Twisted Wire, flap disc, wire brush or propane torch and a scraper.
I'm always looking for better ways to do stuff.
Its looking awesome and that Clem is using the extras is a plus!

Scraped some off with a putty knife then wire wheeled with my angle grinder, then soaked with air craft stripper, ran the putty knife back over and then when it dried re-wire wheeled it with my angle grinder, it took me about 4 hours

Mostly they are. The cab mounts & core support mounts are in different locations and might be a bit different and the front frame horns where the bumper mounts to is different. Also, the frame is not indented at the steering box like the 68-72 frames.
