Those core supports look so much sharper with that crease at the top shaved smooth. The whole thing looks great, can't wait to see it with the transplant done.

Hey Keith,... where'd you get the radiator? (part number?) Is it a custom radiator or a direct fit for our trucks. My '69 needs one.

I got it off ebay........it's a Entropy Radiator and it's made for the 67-72 trucks it can be bought with or without the fans. Just do a search on ebay for entropy and it should pull them up.

The top mount (radiator cover) has four 10/32 bolts that bolt to the core support between the radiator and the mount...a pain to mount but hopefully I'll only have to do this once after it's done On the bottom of the fan shroud it has a plate that slides under the radiator and it has three mounts that attach to the radiator. In the picture you should see three screws that attach the fan shroud to the upper mount (no way to hide, no way to get your hand back there). Does this make any sense?

Actually, it's kind of hidden in plain sight. Since you'll look into the compartment from in front of the radiator, you won't really notice the 3 small attachment points. Color the hardware like the surrounding panel, & they'll really blend in.

What's the schedule this weekend? Getting in any quality time or doing the family thing?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Any more thoughts on our 'incognito' ventilation project?

Nothing like it sounds. We were brain-storming crankcase ventilation options last time I was @ the shop since our engines are going together similarly.

No blowers or turbos . . .....

Re: Hazel the older Sister....

Well it's been awhile since I've updated the thread but I have actually been working on the truck......This is like all my projects and it's getting out of hand but this time it's really not my fault.....really! You see I'm really good friends with Nathan Porter and we talk several times during the week and during these conversations he would always tell me I need to plant old Hazel on the ground but I would always say that I need to just leave it as is until one day I shoot off my mouth and said something like " if you can get the stuff here before my Christmas break I'll do it" This statement was about two weeks ago and he must have been planning on setting me up because 3 days later I had boxes all over my front porch......it was Nathan's way of telling me to put up or shut up....Now on the other end I have my buddy Roger who lets me use his shop to work on the truck. He likes to look at something I'm doing and say things like " you know you will never be happy with the way that looks" or " you need to do X,Y and Z to make it better" and he's right 9 times out of 10 so here I am trying to make Hazel a little lower and a little nicer WITHOUT touching the outside patina. So the new plan is to finish installing the Porterbuilt front and rear kit, I've already installed the hood hinges (very nice!) The motor is starting to come together, I painted it this past weekend and bolted on the Billet Specialties V-Trac that I had powder coated black. I also picked up a 700R from Phoenix Transmission. I painted the firewall this week so I hope to have a factory fresh looking engine compartment with a few modern touches.....and yes I'm going to have inner fenders. The interior is stripped and about ready to paint, I also have the seat getting recovered with the stock material and I have a factory tilt column ready to be installed. So this is where I'm at on the project as of today....sorry for the long post......here's some pictures. The front crossmember is setting on 2x4 in the pictures so I can get a jack under the front frame brace.

Trying to keep a stock look under the hood, AC and heater hoses will run through the box once I'm done with it.
