Re: 24 years later....here we go
wife and I got the back window in today with some trim I found at the junkyard. I found a set of front and rear out of a 71. I was in really nice shape with very few flaws. I think it will polish up real good. I found a tach dash in a 67 gmc while I was there too.

Re: 24 years later....here we go
I noticed that you have a rear cargo light. When you ordered it did it come with the new wiring harness? Also did it come with a temp-plate to cut the hole out. I am wanting to install one on my cab. I figured it would be best to do it at this stage before I painted te cab. gdavis from Homosassa, fl.

Re: 24 years later....here we go
Made a little more progress. Got the tailgate trimmed out, new cab divider trim, door handles, and a few little pieces on inside. Today Im gonna pull the cluster and put in a new printed circuit and a new oil pressure line. I had this pic of back when I sat the cab on. Seems like a long time ago. Also the wife and I just got back from Crested Butte CO. Had a great time....

Re: 24 years later....here we go
Man how I love a fully trimmed truck I finally put the rear band on my tailgate as well as the taillight bezels just got clips in for the upper trim that ill try slapping on this weekend can't wait. Sure do love the throwback picture of the cab too great progress my friend.
Also to GDavis the repop cargo lights do not come with a template but are very simple to install yourself just measure twice ![]() Posted via Mobile Device

Have to say, in that picture it looks like all you can think about is getting back to the truck.

Re: 24 years later....here we go
New Type, the tailgate trim worked out pretty good, I used the clips too and one stainless rivet on the ends. Trimmed it a hair where it butts up to the center "handle" trim. Cab divider trim snapped right on. I need to get the windshield in and get the interior going. Im about to order some 20" C-57 polished Coys. Yeah while snowboarding down the mountain I was daydreamin' about this pickup. All I like is finishing.....thanks for the comments

Re: 24 years later....here we go
I vote for blue panels and blue vinyl/parchment houndstooth.
![]() Of the choices you listed, I'd go with door #2.

Re: 24 years later....here we go
Zoomin so you think blue door panels and a white vinyl with blue houndstooth seat? I have a nice blue headliner and blue visors.
NewType, the carpet fit really good. It was molded to fit and has the jute backing. I ordered it for "gas tank removed" so it goes all the way to the back wall. It has a nice border sewn on it. Its nice carpet. |

Re: 24 years later....here we go
The comment I made above was in jest - only because you didn't list it. Being ornery, I guess. But seriously, I like some contrast. If the interior of your cab is blue, then I'd use parchment door panels and seat vinyl, with the seat inserts in blue houndstooth. The dashpad, visors and headliner can all be blue.
Go black or blue on the carpet, depending on your confidence to keep it clean - black is more forgiving, but blue will look better against the parchment.
