Finally got some work done. The frame is cleaned, primed and undercoated. I also got some of the other parts painted and installed.

I just picked up a rack out of a late 90's mustang and I was wondering what i should expect with the mod? Did yoy use the same pump off the Chevy or did you have to use the Ford one? Did you notch the frame because you were going to lay frame and you needed clearance and would I have to do the same notch being only lowered 4 inches up front? and I am assuming that you got some sort of coupler to marry the two makes together at the rod ends. What steering mods are necessary? did you fab your own cross member to mount it to? I cannot see from the picture how you mounted it.

As Steven said I have a Dropmember, but I'll answer what questions I can. You can have hoses made to use your stock pump with the Ford gear. The frame is notched because of the raised height of the Dropmember, I doubt you would need to notch yours. Porterbuilt will sell you the aluminum sleeves and rod ends to connect the rack to your spindles, then you will need to get joints and shaft to connect it to your column.

Thanks Mike, I did not know the drop member had holes that lined up for the rack. I will just fab one up to match the holes to replace my stock forward cross member. Thanks for the help.

Probably won't be a bed floor at all. I'll have to see how much room is there after the fuel cell is in. I would like to do a raised wood floor but if it's going to be 3 or 4 inches from the rail there's really no point.

If you don't have a bed floor, then where are you going to put your ice chest and chairs when you're cruisin around at CTC?

Good point, I may have to rethink this idea

By the way, I bought some of those rubber isolators for the compressors and they make a world of difference!

Cool, I'm glad they worked.

BTW, my bed is now 13" deep after raising the bed floor 6.5", of course I'm not quite as low as you are in the rear. The top of the ice chest sticks out, but it "should" stay in the bed, even during evasive maneuvers.

Hey , I just noticed that your compressors are mounted laying on their side. According to one of the guys that works for Viair they should always be mounted with the cylinder pointing up to help them dissipate the heat from the motor.
