Re: Got a new truck
Its good for just driving it on and off the trailer, but we will gusset it. Most likey this week because I want to try and go wheeling this weekend. But still need a few things: The gusseting of the truss, Painted, rear driveline, and the exhaust.

Re: Got a new truck
Going to wheel it with halfton, because it would just be easier to swap the axles and 454 in at the same time.

You can see the inside didn't get painted, but we will get spray it later, my dad missed a few spots, kinda hard to see but missed so I will have to get Some undercoating and spray it. Hopefully our sprayer works.

Re: Got a new truck
Well from the looks of it we are going to go do some testing sunday. We got one cherry bomb on and we have to cut the pipe on the exhaust down about a foot and a half so we can put the other one on.
Edit: we got the driveline made and are going to put it on tonight. Got the hiems fr the front just need to get the full hydro stuff and the coilovers.

Re: Got a new truck
Well almost everything is on and ready to go, we need to do everything for the passanger seat, but just put the drivers side seatbelts in and gusset the truss.

Re: Got a new truck
Well it did great, until we were ready to go then It messed up the fan belt to the alternator. So it heated but still drove onto the trailor. The back tire went flat, because the screw that was in it flew out. I will post the videos from youtube in a few minutes.

Re: Got a new truck
The videos, The only things we did, because we got there so late. And no friends or people were around if something broke.
You can see the flat tire we got. And how we gusseted the truss.

Re: Got a new truck
I was waiting to go over in the first video, I thought I was going to flop but it didn't. As soon as I put a lift on the front and better bigger tires, it's going over, I'm going to try rock sqeeze.

Re: Got a new truck
Thanks jason. Well we are still deciding and saving some money for the shocks, but We where going to lift it and put the 1 tons on but its too wide for the trailor, so 'm going to take a bogger off the other truck and see if it goes on, and if it does see if the backspacing narrows it a few inches. To fit on the trailer.

Re: Got a new truck
Well, My dad put the fan belt on and I think we are going to look into foa's they are 230 for the 18in travel 2.5s with resvoirs if i saw correctly, and the coils are 55-70each and we need 4 coils so it would come to less than 800 for everything before tax and shipping. So we might go that route and save a few hundred bucks, to get the fullhydro or the air bumps. And we might go wheeling on this weekend with a friend so we can try a little harder stuff.

Re: Got a new truck
Well didn't get much pics or vids, but we did wheel from 9:20-till 3, about. Did a few more things mostly trails then my dad kinda told me to try the mud bog, thenthe motor bogged down and now runs horrible and has water in the oil. So we are going to swap the 454 we have in. Tomorrow we will start to take it apart.
Edit: we got stuck in the bog. Edit: well we decided to wait to swap in the 454 till we have the front 4linked and fullhydro. We will just swap in a 350 tomorrow.

Re: Got a new truck
Where I first got stuck, not paying much attention, And the back tires and open front didn't help.
The second time I got stuck. Where the motor got ruined, I know wasn't smart. And both times Got pulled out by the axle truss. THe part we added has a hole in it. A jeep winched me out by it and second time a blazer pulled me out and I was dead in the water.

Re: Got a new truck
Well here is were the motors at right now. We are pretty sure the water messed the motor up, the oil came out as mud, and the radiator hoses were sucked in. We think I might have blew a head gasket when I got it hot the first time out. JUst putting another 350 in it for now, But the 454 will get put in before this summer. Or a small hit of nos.

Re: Got a new truck
The hood wasn't open all the way because the garage door. So I guess my dad was jacking it up like normal and jacked it into the hood. OR if your talking about the motor, We assume head gasket and te mud bog.
And this was a good thing because I can get an Idea of the 4link setup. And we are going to try to pull the donor 350 tomorrow.
