Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
the electric brake system works like this....it has a pump that boosts the pressure to 1800-2000PSI and then pumps it back into the master cylinder...so when you push the brakes you get the benifit of all that pressure, just like a conventional power brake system with the booster.......

That brake setup looks killer, but there's no price listed. That usually means it's outta my price range.

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
Hey don, we have talked before about cruise control. I was looking at the schamtic and the cruise control switch goes to the BCM from the steering wheel controls and then the BCM sends the signal to the PCM via class 2 data. To get the cruise to work with these engines do you need a controler or can you just change the programing in the PCM the see the input from the dikota digital switch. I emailed dikota digital, but they don't seem interested in getting back to me.

Re: project INCREDIBLE HULK 6.2L with 6L80E
I got a piece of the description and operation of the cruise control off of the GM website.
The body control module (BCM) monitors the signal circuit of the cruise control switches. The BCM relays the cruise control switch status to the engine control module (ECM) via the GMLAN serial data circuit. The ECM uses the status of the cruise control switch to determine when to capture and maintain the vehicle speed. The ECM monitors the vehicle speed signal circuit in order to determine the desired vehicle speed. The ECM uses the throttle actuator control (TAC) motor in order to maintain the vehicle speed. For further information on the TAC System, refer to Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System Description . I'd post the schmatic but it is to big and if I resize it I don't think you'll be able to see anything. |
