Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
I would paint the alt and bracket. probably black but the blue may work also. you could polish it but that would be a pain. do you have a pic of the headliner installed? truck is looking good

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
Are you using BC/CC for the covers and manifolds or a single stage paint? Just curious if you had to cut and polish around all those intake runners!

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
its all base coat clear coat.
Im really comfortable with the clear I use so I can get it really slick without polishing it. The truck was sanded and polished, but these small engine pieces arent. |

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
I am going to base/clear my whole engine. it still has the truck intake and covers. i originally wanted to powdercoat but the water pump seals cant take the heat. what clear are you using?

Great looking truck it's got the look that i am looking to do with my truck except in red. Did you have any clearance problems with the wheels other than with the front fenders any rubbing

What's the seat out of, didn't see it mentioned? Looks different than original, and also looks like it's been shortened. Thanks!

Re: so lets build a truck/my '52 chevy
I didnt have any clearance problems will the wheels except in the rear mostly because my axle is a big wide for my wheels offset and the height of the tire. I didnt want a tubbed bed though so I didnt mind modifiying the fenders. That should all change though soon.
The bench is out of a 67-72 truck that is shortened and panned. No springs, all foam. I hoping to make some big changes soon, shouldnt be redoing anything as much as adding to what I have. |
