Re: Lucy - My 1968 SWB

Thanks guys. I still have to do a test fit, but I have compared them to the old one's and pretty sure they will fit nicely.

Re: Lucy - My 1968 SWB

I now have 3 sets of headers. I test fit the ones below tonight and not sure if I am going to modify the second set I have or use these. The one's above fit but are close to the spark plugs and they exit underneath the motor pretty close to the crossmember. I am concerned it might be too sharp of an angle to connect the exhaust to. It's doable but not sure it's ideal.

i think i gotta go take pics of mine for you. also how the exhause routes. the headers come super close to the toe board on mine, but i can still pull the engine with the headers on.

Re: Lucy - My 1968 SWB

People with those style headers (first ones) have been getting 45 degree bends and welding them close to the collector to allow the exhaust to tuck in tight

New Shoes

Picked these up last week off Craigslist. 5 for $250. They'll do for a while.

Painted the spare to see what it would look like. Which looks best (front is the spare I painted)?

They were all banged up. Might be in the garage somewhere. Not sure though.

I repainted the wheels a lighter gray. The color in the pic above was just too dark for my taste. They look good now. I need to get some pictures. They turned out very good.

Re: Lucy - My 1968 SWB

Haven't been on in a while. Just accumulated a few parts and waiting to get my truck back in the garage.

Picked up some rough cut lumber and had it planed and cut to width for the bed.

Re: Lucy - My 1968 SWB

Brown truck brought this yesterday. What's the best way to paint this gold anodized type of metal? Do I need to just scuff it and paint it?
