Re: My 65 Pickemup project
Delmo,
This is build is one of the coolest I have seen in a long time. The truck looks awesome. I keep watching the video of it rolling by over and over, LOL. The wheel treatment you did really completes the look. Also, your logo is killer! Can't wait to see more. |

Re: My 65 Pickemup project
Now that's a teaser!
If you don't mind I'd like to suggest a song for your video. It's called "Dig The Ride" by Solarized. They also have one called "Chrome Shop" that would work well.

Re: My 65 Pickemup project
Delmo,
I have a few Impalas and parts cars in stock (13) 1961-64 models . Do not tell my wife LOL so yes I may use a 61 Impala steering wheel. Also have a Budnik 61 Corvette style wheel ( flat tracker) . What is your thoughts on the 20" Dodge steelies ? Like ? Dislike? I respect your opinion , wish someone would build a 20" steelie.????? |

Re: My 65 Pickemup project
Sooo cool man. I sold a 62 SS to Billy Gibbons from ZZtop years ago. I sure miss that car.
Are these the steelies you're reffering to? We narrowed up a set for this roadster. |

Re: My 65 Pickemup project
yes I have a set of those , undecided if i like the centers with the holes? But we are designing it so it ties in with a few things . Dimple die holes / Lokar Lakester door handles / pedals etc. I will post a Jason Rushforth design later today and start a build thread.
I have the American Racing Billy Gibbons poster framed in my office of your 62 Impala |

Re: My 65 Pickemup project
Would love to see a rendering, sounds very cool.
That's funny that you have one of those posters. Those aren't the wheels he runs on it, you probably know that. |

Re: My 65 Pickemup project
What tires/sizes in that pic? Very correct looking for being late model steel on an early 'hot-rod'.

Re: My 65 Pickemup project
If that truck gets any lower, it's probably gonna be in China.
Get it, China, the other side of the world.
