Looks great! Just read the whole thread. You've put a lot of work in on this truck. I'm tuning in.

Re: Crooked 68
It's been a while since I've updated this build thread. But I'm gonna go ahead a do a little story telling since my last post in 2015.
In September 2015 I got the truck on the road and for the first time of me owning the truck for six years at the time. I was cruising it around town and taking it to local shows. I was working all the bugs out and I had one really "big bad bug". From the first time of me cranking over and starting up a fresh rebuilt 350 I had a ticking in the motor that would drive me nuts. But at the same time I wanted to get to enjoy my truck. From September to mid October I got to enjoy driving my truck with a what turns out to be a spun rod bearing. So I put the truck in hibernation and planned on doing some upgrades while crooked was undergoing open heart surgery. I then do away with the stock a arms and went tubular with Porterbuilt control arms and upgraded over to a CPP power steering gear box. I also did away with my old electric valves for my airbags and upgraded to airlift performance for my air management system. Being said that the previous motor was a dud I order a basic 350 crate for crooked's new heart and dressed her up pretty nicely. by April of 2016 I had got my truck up and running on the road again crusing the street this time getting to enjoy it alot more taking her long to long distance shows, or just waking up one weekend and crusing up the lake with some friends for the day with my truck. ....Then my transmission goes out. Talk about the discouragement I felt at that time, but then not much time wasted on getting my truck back over to the shop and pulling the transmission out to find out the output shaft had snapped my transmission guy takes care of it and back to cruisin ever since. Right now I'm ready to start my wood bed floor project and kiss primer away. I will post pictures shortly. |
