man that trim on the grill is a booger to get off. took me at least an hour to get them off. they are in decent shape...not sure if i'll replace them or not. at least the sheet metal is all straight. should be able to get at least some of it cleaned up and painted tomorrow if the weather is nice.

it is really easy to take the fenders and inner fenders off. that will be no problem you will need a 5/8s 7/16s and a 1/2 inch MAYBE a 9/16ths look forward to the progress yes the back of the grilss can get nasty from all of the condensation nice progress jason keep it up cant wait to see that front end squatin from the engine again!

thanks Rick! Yeah me either...it'll get there...later probably rather than sooner. But that's okay. I'd rather take my time and get it right.

Re: 67 C-10 project.

Guard them grill pieces well. Dollar per ounce, I think they are the
most expensive piece on the truck.

But it coming along great man.

Re: 67 C-10 project.

thanks Rick and Spike! it's been a productive 4 days worth of work! Today, i got the inner and outer fenders off, and the radiator support off, and the wipers and cowl! all in all not too bad. now i can start cleaning it all up good. i need to replace the left front fender. I'll probably get a new one from bowtie bits here in town just so i don't have to pay shipping. then i think i'll clean up and get what i can and the have a sandblaster finish it for me.

Re: 67 C-10 project.

I would hook the heater back up just clean it out mine had a bunch of trash and leafs in it. I plan on getting an AC coil from a later modal and fab it in there so I have AC. The truck I bought already had one under the dash, but I want it built in so I'm going to just add a button to turn on the compressor I can adjust the hot cold with the standard heater vent.

Re: 67 C-10 project.

It's coming along!

Bag them bolts, And label them. It helps out.
I got my patch panels for my cab from classic parts,
They seemed to fit pretty good.

Re: 67 C-10 project.

thanks guys...yeah i got a whole pile of quart freezer bags labled with what came from where. And i'm trying to get things hung up and out of the way where they wont get damaged. Since I'm this far, it only makes sense to pull it all off the frame. I don't think i could get my rust issues fixed with the cab on anyways...So in effort to continue the disassembly....the original seat cover...but not a original folding seat. the springs and everything are in good shape though. anybody want this come and get it! just plain nasty under there!

Re: 67 C-10 project.

more pictures...got the doors and winshield out. i was surprised on the windshield though, it was nice and clean on the bottom, and rusty along the top! Poor seal job i guess. Dang it. I don't think it's too horrible. Also, i took all of the screws out of the dash pad ( 4 along the front) but it's still not budging...am i missing some? it's coming along nicely! a little each night and maybe i'll have it ready to come off this weekend.

Re: 67 C-10 project.

that spring is where the jack tools go only on 67s and some 68s.... there are 7 more bolt things holding the dash pad on you will need to gut the dash to make it easy to get to them

Re: 67 C-10 project.

Rick, yeah it was just dusty, so i sprayed a little simple green on it and wiped it off witha greasy rag! Some of the paint is like new...well today i was tired and i was not going to do anything to it at all, but i couldn't help it. i got two seat belts removed, and the tranny cover....and i think that's it. cleaned up a little more and then have just been reading other builds for an hour...no pictures...oh and i did get my power steering adapter plate from GMC Pauls today.

i wish my 67 was a red interior i would have left it alone. the red seat belts the dash and cab all red that would have been cool, but it was blue with white outside so
