This is my rust bucket '66 C10, it had the white wheels when I got it, I put on some aluminum ones I like, and I changed the cluster when I changed the 3 on the column to a T-5. I rebuilt the 2 bbl six weeks ago because the float was no longer floating (gas coming out of the side of the carb) and now it won't idle, so I'm not enjoying my pickup lately.

This photo reminds me of what mine looked like when we removed the original 800 pound V6. We were using a chain fall over a huge header and the engine was so big there wasn't enough height to clear the fenders. So we had to remove the front wheels and roll the truck back on the brake drums!

Pulled the truck out of the barn to wash the engine bay, figured I'd take a few pics because it'll spending the winter inside and lighting isn't good in there.

I've got this truck in its own separate thread, but here ya go.

My dad's old '65 Short Stepside he built when I was a toddler. Sat on a '61 chassis. 350 Small Block, TH400 trans. 15x10s, 295/50R15's.

This last one was taken in about '98. No longer with the torsion bar front suspension from the '61. Had a coil-spring 6-lug front end from I believe a 71? C-10. Also didn't have the wides anymore.

Was sold in 2005.

I am so excited I am picking her up tomorrow...!!!!! I dont know that much about these trucks but want to learn. I am compiling a list of thing to do / upgrade to make her a smooth daily highway driver. Starting with the Holley 500 carb...anyone have any other suggestions?

Here some pics of the one I just picked up this weekend. It will be project truck to build with my 10 yo son. A 409 sound like the way to go at this time. Im not working on this one until I get my chevelle up and running.

I'm not the biggest fan of 60-63 wraparound windshields, but it looks like it's a very clean truck and looks like a very nice start. Nothing better than father son-bonding over a build. Good luck! Hope to see a build thread on that one.

Oh man those wraparound windshields are one of the major reasons I love these trucks. Nothing says old truck like wraparound glass. It's got that 60's look and the 50's flair. Yeah baby.

That's a good looking truck right there amigo. Can't wait to see more of it.
