Even open to a single stage enamel I'm looking for ease of use for a diy and best bang for the buck in terms of finish and durability

Looks like a nice start but what are the other colors going to be?

I did a lot of custom stuff in the 70s. I’m surprised to see this kind of stuff trying to come back in style.

Re: Let's see pics of paintjobs done yourself...

This whole thread makes my head spin. I keep vacillating between "I'm going to have someone who knows what they're doing paint mine" and then I come here and see these amazing paintjobs, and think "they did that in their garage, surely I could too"

Fortunately, I have quite some time before I'll need to settle on one or the other, but this thread is a real inspiration to want to try it myself.

Hey Guys,

I got the interior painted today. It was harder than I thought it was going to be. I do have some orange peel but I think it will be ok. Now that I got the interior done I'm hoping the rest will be a little easier.

Hey Hammerforhire, keep us in touch on how your paint job is going and also with pictures. Red interior would really look great with the white paint job. MO

i was looking into those but their website didn't list bigger sizes like 20"s.
I painted my Harley (a page back) in my shop in a "booth" like yours, 'cept smaller. I paint cause i still enjoy it, its the body work i hate. I'm gonna do my 70 with semi-gloss black with some metalflake candy flames. It may not be for everyone, but its gonna be unique and stand out like a sore thumb. Bonus is i may sell a few more flame jobs....
