I thought I would give you all an update. I got the truck on the road last July, went to a few shows, and had a lot of fun. Now it's time to finish a few things and to change a few things.

Things to finish:

1. Install parking brake assembly (I hope I can find the parts)
2. Hook up the heater
3. Adjust the trany kick down

Things to change:

1. Lower the rear another 1.5" (to much rake)
2. Move the trailing arm cross member forward 1.750" (rear wheels not centered in wheel well) It just bugs me.
3. Change mufflers from a 22" body Magnaflows to 18" ( It just doesn't bark enough)
4. Remove bed wood, color sand and polish the clear coat (It's just not shiny enough)

Today I will remove the bed and get going. I should leave well enough alone
but I can't. I should probably seek professional help for my addiction.

haha i feel the exact same way right now.. i already want to change alot of stuff and i just got mine on the road. your truck is looking really good though!! it will be even better after the changes

When you see the truck in person it is 30 times prettier! Keith I was able to install the carrier without the bracket so I am good to go. Hope everything works out for your winter project! Keep us posted! T.J.

Get it the way you want it, by next year it will be just right. That truck is such a cool ride. Drive it and enjoy it. Maybe you will need a new project next year to mess with, and leave this one alone. I hope to see you in Puyallup next year.

I don't know if I will ever get to the point of completion. I will do another truck just don't know what it will be maybe a COE.
We have Puyallup on the calendar, it's a great show camping is real close and a lot of great rigs to look at.

I got the bed off yesterday and positioned the wheel 1 3/4" forward. I like it a lot better. So know I have to move the trailing arm cross member forward and drill new holes. There is a stock hole on the on the lower frame flange that is 1 3/4" forward. The only other thing that might give me problems is redrill the hole for the upper spring mount.

The first step of the winter remodel is complete. Removed the wood, color sand the clear coat to 4000 grit and polished. I would have done this after I shot the clear on the wood, but being wood and not sure how things would turn out I just give it some time 1 year.

I got a new year update. Moved the diff forward 1 3/4" to center the wheel in the fender opening. Did the 4" pipe c notch lowered the rear of the truck another 1" or so. Built new diff bump stops. Moved the shocks to the rear of diff and to the outside of the frame. Moved the panhard bar. Down sized on the mufflers (from 22" to 18" not enough bark out of the 22"s). Ran the 3" muffler pipe over the diff will exit rear of the tires. I hope by this weekend I can reinstall the bed for the last time (I have removed it 4 times).

Truck update. Exhaust is finally completed, rear axel moved forward, lower the rear another 1". I have a few more things to complete before the first show of the year Portland Roadster Show.

Lookin good! I agree with the rear wheel being centered in the wheel opening. It looks much better, and now the ride height you want also. Box floor looks like a polished dance floor, hope no one puts a fingerprint on it. Just kidding. Say, I noticed a John Deere in the background of one of your pics. A man's tractor, nothing runs like a Deere.

This truck is looking great. I never knew how far off the rear wheel was in the fender opening until I saw the picture. Man, that would have drove me nuts, too. That took a lot of knuckle-busting work to get it back where it needed to be. Moving crossmembers and drilling new holes 'aint fun!
