oldman3, Thank you, That is the nice thing about it being on air. It only has a little air in it in the pictures. The down side is when a bag goes there goes it being driveable! It does not lay on the ground but you would not be able to turn without getting the wheels into the fenders.

AUSSIE54, Thank you. He is getting a sponcership for the build from the NBA. That was a test fit in that one picture, smartazz. HAHA. It is about time we see some pictures on your build! If you hurry up and get it done for next years Goodguys show in Columbus we could go together.

Well today I was working on the transmission tunnel. I made a fixture so that I could figure out the clearances and make the template. Then when I used the slip rolls I could use it to see if it was right. I only have to weld up the front flange on it. I love making the recessed panels. I am going to do custom inner wheel wells like the floor. I am also going to make a set for my panel truck like that also.

oldman3, Thank you. Most of it will be covered up BUT the transmission tunnel will be finished like the rest of the outside of the truck because he loves the look of it. I wish I would have done my panel like that. All my friends keep telling me that I will be redoing the floor in it before too long. Not a chance, Well... Haha

Wow! Looks great. What type of flange roller did you use for the recessed panels? Also, did you flange them before of after you ran them though the slip role? I have to do my firewall and floors and have an 18" bead/flange roller which will handle 18G but I'll need to take the hump to a friend and run them though the slip roller. I'll be happy if they turn out 1/2 as good as yours.

yeah that would look really dope if it stayed uncovered. I def love the look of it. I love the work. However, I did a square/flat tranny hump. Came in handy as I made a little console on it to hold change flashlights, screwdrivers or whatever crap I have in my pockets. Still need to make some cup holders though. Can't have my girl sitting with my drink all the time. anyway you should know by now to just upload your play by play on your fab work, so everyone can stop drooling and start imitating your work LOL.

Chevette, Thank you. I used my offset dies. I have a 1/8" and a 3/16" one that I made. The bead roller I made has 24" of depth. Sometimes on a big panel I have had the reverse the dies top to bottom to be able to do it all. I lay everything out and try it in the bead roller with no pressure if I think I might have a problem. Yes you have the do the paneling before you do the slip roll work. It does flatten it out a bit but still looks great and stiffens it up. I do not have a slip roller either or at least yet so that is why I made the fixture so I could figure out the clearances and knew how much I had the jack the slip roll to. You will be fine doing it , just take your time and think things out.

I have a console in mine and I agree I need to put cup holder in it also. I get tired of driving with a cup between my legs! I should do a video of it but then I would miss out on all the great comments.HAHA

xpickup: Thanks very much for the help. I have those same offset rolls, but my roller has a somewhat different drive system. Mine is a two man operation. One man winds the crank and the other man yells "slow down!" while feeding the material. I think I need to get me an electric drive like you have. You've been most helpful. Thanks again.

Chevette, Haha, been there, done that. I always hated to have someone come over to help because I did not know how long it would take. That is why I added the power to it. Now I can do it all myself. If you need any more pictures of my bead roller and drive let me know.

Daze57, Mine too, I like to be the looker. One better is trying to make a straight line and the cranker is moving the beadroller all over the place. Just the nature of pushing the crank down then pulling it up. That is another reason mine is powered. Now I can only blame myself!

I put the caddy tail lights in yesterday. My buddy liked them so he had me put them in. The first pictures is a little trick I cam up with for hole sawing sheet metal. The pilot bit always makes the hole larger and the hole saw moves around. It really does it when doing it on a curved part. I first drill the 1/4" hole then take a 5/16" nut and take a 1/4" rod and line everything up on the plain that you want to drill on. Then tack the nut to the sheet metal. On this one it had a big space so I sheared a little piece of metal and tack it in too. It works great and the hole saw stays put. I made the light buckets out of 3 1/2" tube. The first side is done , now the second side after I get more welding gas. I am going to make a paper template so they will be the same and plasma cut the fender because now I know where they need to be.
