Re: Softop installation no Holes
Update . It's looking like a couple weeks yet before he can make them . Sorry for delay . This is why I don't take cash deposits and this was a suprise to me that they would be as popular as the've been . Just remember that once they become available I will except payment from those who are ready with PayPal for immediate shipping. Nothing I can do about the production wait times as . That would require more time finding another fibreglass guy that can do the job as well as the one I have . Not to mention the the guy deserves the buisness and I didn't expect to be selling them . If any others want to bail I fully understand and appauligise that I cant the demand am still pushing forward with this order .

Re: Softop installation no Holes
Is the shop going to do a production run of X number of units or are they going to be made one at a time depending on who pays up?

Re: Softop installation no Holes
I would buy a soft top in a heart beat if I did not have to put holes in my windshield.
I like this idea. Please let me know if comes to fruition. The website GMCPAULSTRUCKPARTS.com has a front window header repair kit. They might be a good source to approach for fabrication. Seems like it would be an easy add on to it. |

Re: Softop installation no Holes
Gibber I don't have a confirmed date yet .Sorry for the wait . It's longer than I expected . It really needs another shop to take the project but I dont have time to run around looking for a shop when I know the price will go through the roof on these parts . Add tthat mix it's hard to find someone that can deal with one possibly two parts a day. So there not a. High degree of
Profit . Having said that I have recieved notice that he started in on them and the big project he had in his shop has now been completed .(life size 1966 Aston Martin). So I'm now told there is more time to focus on my Headers . That's the best I can tell you . And I know your frustration as mine are quite simular as these parts could actually make me some money to but they dont. It just boils down to costs for me and the furor gets some bennifit for its members I suppose . I hope the next week or two will show results . LOL Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Softop installation no Holes
Update my understanding is th Headers are being worked on right now and should be available in the next couple weeks. Having said that I certain most of you know what a couple weeks means when I make a post but things are looking better so I will leave it like that for now accept to apologize for the delays. I will make an announcement when I have them in my hand. Thank for your patience !
Regards Rob |

Re: Softop installation no Holes
Update. I am taking a drive down Abbotsford (one hr drive to where my Headers are getting made) to have a look at the first two Headers out of the mold to make sure everything is good then once I give the signal he's going non stop till we fill the orders or the mold requires rework again. Once I get them I still have to trim them down to fit into the shipping container.and they may require more trimming for your specific vehicle but I try to get them as close as possible . A couple more days to complete this stage. Sorry for the wait . Hopefully the product will make up for it !
