Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Im still shocked but I got a Craigslist Score and a half!!!!! I worked out a deal over text for just the bullitt wheels for $175 and when I showed up at the guys house (A friend of the guy who posted on CL) he still had tires on them. I was shocked and I said $175 right? I told him thats what his buddy has said and he said well I wanted more but Ill go ahead and let you have them still....I drove my little scion 50 mins to get these because I thought it was just rims....Wow was the ride home cramped but 2 17x8 Bullitts with 225/55R17s and 2 17x8 Bullitts with 235/60R17s.

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
I am so jealous! Those are fabulous! The money saved you can splurge on something else! Good find! Those are really nice! How is the tread? Can you drive them for a while?

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Well everything I read was correct. The 17x8s wont fit the front with out a spacer....Tires still could be too tall but it was worth checking....Rear fit on pretty well but could be too tall still

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Yup, same issue here on the 68 Cougar. You will be happy with 1.25 inch spacers up front and 1" spacers in the rear. I found Ebay to be the best deal on Billet aluminum spacers with grade 8 hardware.

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
These are 99 Bullitts so they have a little less backspacing. I ordered 1" Spacers all around off ebay for $97 with Grade 10.9 Studs. Hope they ship out with a quickness!

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
INstalled the 1" spacers on the front but lost a lug in the process so couldnt install the rear. Definitely need smaller tires...prob get some 225/45 probably on the front and maybe 245/45 on the rear...

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
A little cut and grind on the drivers side rear floor panel. Still need to smooth and cut out a little bit to get it fitted right but almost there

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Those wheels are a nice touch. Looks like the floor is coming along, too. I bet you could talk some of us into an "unofficial" work day on this thing!

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)
Wow, really coming along!!!
Keep moving, in mid April next year there will be a huge 50th anniversary party in Charlotte, NC. You have 8 months! I haven't taken pics but my interior mods are about done. All the 3 points are in (front and rear) and it's all back together except the dash, going to take that back apart to repaint it. The rear axle is leaking a lot. I'll be pulling that apart, but I hope to wait until the cruising season is over. Been putting a lot of miles on it. With the A/C the wife loves riding in it again. She even wanted to take it to Clemson and back last weekend (2 hour round trip.) I never got the electric fan installed, I pissed off the DC Controls guy and never got my part, so I tweaked the crap out of everything and kept fine tuning the timing and I've gotten it to where it just gets above 210 in traffic with the A/C on, which people on mustang forums say is "normal" or "ok" for these cars. I still want to get my electric fan, I've just got to come up with a better controller option. Right now, DC Controls is the only "good" reliable controller for the ford two speed fans. Also, I love VA. Compared to my truck, it does take longer to get the car cool (much larger area) and when the sun beats down on the car with all clear glass windows, it does take a bit for it to get started, but once it gets cool in there it will freeze you out. After the initial cool down, I never had it above half way it was so cold. It would be a big difference if my windows were tinted, but I think it would kill the look of my car. http://www.carolinamustangclub.com/c...odule_id=67064
