Unfortunately, it didn’t have the bed on it. And now it’s apart so I can fit the Slosh Tubz, PorterBuilt heater box delete pieces and hood hinges.

No problem man. Thanks for that pic. I really like where you have the air tanks mounted, I may change mine to the same location. I've got dual compressors mounted on the side of the frames rail behind the rear wheels with a single air tank that is behind my boyds undermount tank. I made my own brackets, but didn't realize that placement would not let me add a hitch. Those are PB compressor and tank mounts correct?

I wasn’t feeling well yesterday so I didn’t get anything done. But I’m feeling better today, so I went to work on getting the Slosh Tubz installed. WOW!!! What a PITA, but they are in. And, low and behold...Walter now lays the front PorterBuilt kmember on the ground and the 255/45r20’s are free and clear. I wished the front bumper was on, but I can envision it.

I’m surprised that I’m not having issue with clearance between the cab and the engine/trans. I haven’t put the high hump in yet and I still have clearance. Which makes me think that after installing the high hump, I should be able to raise the engine another 1/2”, which would allow the passenger side header to clear the lower control arm.

Looks good. I've been curious about clearance for mine as well. I just relocated mine to the shop so I now have the truck & PBC4DM in the same location. Might get a wild hair & find out sooner vs. later 🤓

I’ve been so busy with real life (flu, flooding, job responsibilities, etc) that I haven’t really had much shop time the last 2 weeks. But today was a productive shop day.

After some more cleaning and removal of pieces/parts that won’t be a part of the final product, I got around to actually working on Walter. I put him up on the lift and threw an angle finder on the tail shaft of the trans to realize I had 8 degrees down...that’s to much! So, I put the pole jack under the trans crossmember and raised the trans up until it hit the cab which only netted me 5-6 degrees. Which just means that the high hump will be used after all. In the process of doing all this, I found out that with the raising of the trans; the passenger side header now clears

I got a little bit more done today. Pulled out the front & rear glass. Only bad spot is d/s lower area of windshield.

The other 3 notorious spots were just crusty but intact. The back was spotless so no pictures.

After removal of the cowl panel, I found a huge wasp nest on the d/s and an even bigger mouse nest on the passenger side..

Got the transmission crossmember installed with -3 degrees at the output. This also allows me to install the passenger side header without issue. Hell, even the collector is higher than the lowest point of the frame, so I shouldn’t have any problems with boogering them up.

No pictures, but I got a little bit more done today. Now that I know the cab & frontend fit without issue, I’ll separate them from the chassis. Then I’ll get the chassis and motor finalized and do the firewall and interior on the cab separately. Then I’ll marry them back together and do the wiring & such.

I really like your build and your choice on the level 1 drop member. Question, when laid out, are the front wheels pretty straight up and down? I ask because I am running PB narrow arms on a factory crossmember and the slant pretty good laid out. Looking to get a new PB drop member but was curious first. Thanks, Neil

Hey Neil,

They are pretty straight up and down considering its still only had a tape measure alignment for toe. I feel like it’ll be much better once the alignment is correct.

What are the header details? I have Sandersons for a BB Chevelle on mine w/the modified stock front set-up. Won't know how the Sandersons work until the C4DM swap. Never hurts to know other possible options.

I’ll get that info this evening. I know they are ceramic coated BBC Chevelle headers, but I can’t remember if they are hooker’s or Flowtech. But they FIT

Last question, what front version of the PB k member do you have and did you go with the narrowed arms as well? Really like the stance, mine will be very similar, laying pinch isn’t my jam.

I’m not really sure which iteration I have, but it’s the now defunked touring k-member. So, It will lay the k-member on the ground but no need to notch the frame for the r&p. Probably about a 1” to 2” lower than the mild k-member. And I do have the narrower front control arms.

Scoti, they are Flowtech headers for a 68-72 bbc chevelle. Ceramic coated and seem to be very heavy duty construction.
