I see you have a cruise control style turn lever on your column, is the cruise control working for you? I did a search of your thread and didn't find anything written. - Buck

Hey Buck, Yes I have a stock cruise/turn signal lever. I bought it from member ls1nova71. My son wired it into the stock LS PCM/harness. MORE INFO
Yes my cruise works great. If you are using a Dakota digital lever/cluster setup I think it wires a little bit different.

One more question, are you using a drive by wire setup or a cable? I'm guessing dbw but had to ask to make sure.

I'm using drive by wire on my truck, but the setup works the same on drive by cable. My son's 86 truck is drive by cable and he used the stock cruise lever that came in his truck.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

You have to love Oklahoma weather, our favorite tree got destroyed by lightening and now flooding has taken a toll on my driveway. On the bright side, I took the truck out Monday for a quick trip to the store. I got a little mud on the tires but it was worth it.
It has been weeks since I got to drive it.

Mike, I gotta be honest, your truck could look better...if it was sitting in my driveway. Sorry to hear about your tree and typically if it hits you in OK it hits me in Northwest, AR. Truck is looking great.

Love your truck Mike. There's a perfect twin K10 just down the road from me. I'll snag a photo.

Thanks Mark. No worries about the trees and weather, as long as I can avoid the tornadoes..... I made a new home for the truck a while back, right next the Wife's Camaro

Your truck is looking great as always. The weather has been crazy this year. I'm tired of all the rain.

Man, that stinks about the trees! You guys in OK have been getting hammered with bad storms the last few years. Stay safe down there Mike!

Glad to see that you are making it through the tornados and floods. Shawnee seemed to be hard hit the other night with water. This year has been a drastic change from last.

You got that right! We have gotten all time record rain this month.

No kidding this rain and flooding is getting old. We haven't had the boat out at all this month. This is usually one of the best months for fishing too.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

Hey Mike. Love your truck, especially the woodgrain trim & color. Took me two days to read your build. I have a question about the AC. I know you used the factory compressor with Vintage Air. I've read that 2003 and older trucks have a non variable compressor that is supposed to work better with VA. Do you have this style and are you happy with the performance. It gets awful hot and humid here in Houston. I'd prefer to keep the stock accessory drive and not have to buy a Sanden.

Good to see that things are going well. Have you been able to start the shop yet? I am hoping we are entering a stretch of good weather for building.

Thanks for stopping by the build thread Dwight. My plans have changed a few times on the shop building. I haven't started yet. I have had a lot of other things going. Soon hopefully.

Awesome weather for a cruise this weekend. It's always cool meeting new people that like these old trucks. It seems every time I stop at a gas station, I get to share about my truck. Of course I never get tired of it.
