Technically, yesterday. New Tires. Look just like the old ones, but without the weather damage.

Keep a spare module in the glove box. When that ground wire is missing/detached, the module is "walking wounded" and may fail at any time, even after completing that circuit.

I'll bet.
I replaced the gm module with the msd digital style.
I left the gm one and wiring in the glove box though.

Update on the new console I'm building. It has been bolted down for the first time and the door is on and working, the lower has been test fitted, still need to cut in the cup holders and wire up the switches. have decided to add floor lights on the sides too. When completed it will be black with stained wood to match the box.

I used the cheap led license plate lamps at Walmart for floor lights when I made the center console.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

My idea here was to bring in the look of the box to the cab. switches are for the electric dumps and the passenger door release to let someone in. The deep part of the console is for tools, guns, booze

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

I sorted out the 68 Golden . PO really screwed it up Points we’re from god knows where and not for the truck . I replaced them roughed in the gap sounded much better . Timing was 4 degreees or so after TDC corrected that got the dwell meter out set the points to 30 degrees and the idle to 750 . Runs great smoothed right out . Now to get the gas tank sorted out can’t run it on a gallon can under the hood to far .

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

A friend came to help and we got my Truxedo Lo Pro Tonneau cover on the truck. Does anyone know here you can buy plugs or anything that can go into the stake pockets and seal them.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

Today I bought a L83/6L80E combo with under 50K on them. As soon as they arrive I will be yanking out that 402 BB and the TH400 with the Doug Nash OD to make room for this combo. I have already installed a 30 Gallon Tanks Inc fuel tank between the bed rails in back and fabricated this fuel filler in the corner of the bed. So let the party begin!

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

I'm curious, what is the height to the top of the cab now? In other words, does in fit through a standard garage door now?

Nice looking!

Yes, it fits in standard door no problem. The antenna hits, need to trim 6" off, have solid antenna and I don't want bend the cowl.
