Cool Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Skiing? Where's the boat or water even?
Those floatation suits you all are wearing look heavy, thou it did get down to 71degrees Chirstmas morning here.
Is that ash laying and floating around you?

Anyway, I think the time is getting close for another avatar change for you.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

First a pic of the final resting place of the overflow tank.

Today my helpers and I wet sanded with 1000 grit and then 1200 grit. While we were at it, a helper sanded through to the primer!!! Arggghh. Guess who gets to paint the hood one more time!!!

Tomorrow we will finish up with 1500 grit and be ready to buff. The green tape is to keep us off of the edges and not burn through. I'll probably respray the hood tomorrow night.

I bow to your skill, sir. Very nice project. I loved how you planned your work, then worked your plan. Although there were many obstacles, you crushed it!!

Very nice.

That's a good one Drew! I have a 14 year that is about to push me over the edge. No shortage of boys around here for sure I can relate.

Man, that sucks about the hood. Tought deal to have to repaint it. Sometimes you just have to do certain jobs solo

It looks like he wrapped sandpaper around his index finger and went after it. It takes a lot of effort to do that with 1000 grit.

On the daughter dating deal, when the young men used to show up, I always offered to show them some freshly dug graves I had in the back woods.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

I have three sons and I taught them to respect women by showing them an example in the way I treat their mom, so don't be to hard on the boys, give 'em a chance.
Great job, sorry about the sand thru.

I'm not sure how many first posters we have had??? 15 maybe?

On another note: does everyone see the current advertisement for Beaver Creek near the header bar? That's where we were last week skiing.

Hey Ranger! Welcome to the board!
Thanks! I've been lurking for a while. I started with a Google search for the newer GM motor in the 67-72 trucks, as that is exactly what I have planned for "COL Mustard".

Drew, your project is an inspiration!! I stumbled on your build thread yesterday, and read the whole thing in one sitting! I was hooked!!

When you say "we were skiing," you mean you and your wife? Do your kids snowboard? I see that only you and your wife have on ski boots, and your kids appear to have on snow board boots. I ski, too. That's why I noticed
