Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

1972 C10 Custom Deluxe Longbed

I bought the truck in 2017, it originated from down south. It was a highly optioned “Highlander” truck when it came from the factory. One of the previous owners was an engineer for MegaSquirt. He installed a 4.8 LS and 4l60E in it and the truck was the test mule for the MegaSquirt Ms3-Pro Engine Management System. The owner previous to me did the 3/5 drop on the truck. The rear end was pretty messed up so I got it rebuilt with a new posi unit with 3:73 gear. I went ahead and had Finish Line Transmission rebuild the 4L60E, they did the street performance upgrade and I had them also upgrade the stall to a 2000 stall speed. I put new tires on it also. The tires and rearend have less than 100 miles on them, and the trans hasn’t been installed yet. My plan was to upgrade the brakes, steering and suspension, and replace the original gas tank in the cab with a Boyds that’s installed on the frame under the bed. I bought much more new stuff for the truck, but it has sat in the garage for the last 3 or 4 years. I was going to have the cab corners and rockers installed but leave the paint alone. I’ve got a 70 RS Camaro pro touring car that I spend most of my free time driving. So, I’m putting the C10 up for sale as it sits, the engine and trans are not installed, but the steering linkage is. Can be winched up onto a trailer.

GM 12 bolt, new posi unit and 3:73 gears, Moser cover

Fuel and Engine management

Brakes

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

Nice upscale 72 Longhorn $13,750. Not mine. Looks to be a nice truck and the price seems fair. Hard to believe these days.

https://yakima.craigslist.org/cto/d/...573039544.html

1972 Chevrolet C20 Longhorn Cheyenne Super 2wd Pickup.
The Longhorn was produced from 1968-1972, frame and front of bed were extended 6 inches.
The truck was intended for the booming camper market and for the cattle industry in Texas.
With ONLY 3,328 examples of the Longhorn leaving the assembly line in 1972, the chances of you seeing one on the street 47 years later is rare. Many were used as work trucks and therefore didn’t survive many years. Owners that intended to work the trucks purchased them stripped out. Original buyers that wanted only the best Chevy had to offer, picked up fully loaded models. This rare ’72 Longhorn is just one such model!

Features include Factory Big Block 400 V8, Factory Air Cond., Power Steering and Brakes, Rebuilt Automatic Transmission, New Michelin Tires, New Wheels with Factory Stainless Hubcaps, New Flowmaster Exhaust, Factory AC Delco Radio, Chrome Bumpers, Chrome Grill, 8.5ft wooden bed, Tilt Wheel, New Olive Green Paint, Owner's Manual, and all the chrome and trim is there.

This rust free truck is 80% restored and just needs very little to be a $30K collector model.

* Needs - Tailgate and wiper cowling painted, seat reupholstered, carpet, door panels and interior handles installed, exterior trim installed...ALL PARTS ARE INCLUDED.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

This is a 2nd owner truck, Never wrecked. I have owned it for over 30years. This is a one of a kind Monster. It has a Merlin IV Chevy 572 CI Race motor Balanced and Blue printed with a Dyno sheet measuring 748HP with a 4 barrel carburator, More like 850HP with the Pro Flo 4 intake on it. Comes with a hand held computer controller so you can set all the parameters of the intake. Lot of torque, From White Racing Motors in Tennessee. exact number is on the sheet. It is Fuel Injected with a massive Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 Intake on it with a 4 1/2" diameter intake. It has a Yukon Posi traction rear end, 17" billet polished Aluminum wheels with bead locks and Mickey Thompson Baja Tires on it and they were machined to take the original chevy hub caps, cool. It has front disc brakes. The wheels are rated for over 100ph. It has a balanced 4" Aluminum drive line. The transmission is a 4L80E with a shift kit and computer. It has a DANA 60 rear end. It has a Fuel Pump speed controller for keeping the fuel constant in hot weather. It has Evans antifreeze coolant in the motor for heat control. The C20 has the passenger side tool box with a rust free door and it locks. It has a white camper shell. I installed heavier front springs for the added weight and to keep it level. It has 4WD clearance under the truck. The truck looks totally stock.
I have all brand new top of the line choice Oak for the bed and the chrome runners and all the hardware to install. I have a complete package of insulation foam for inside the doors and floor. Brand new carpeting and new blue and black Houndstooth seat upholstery for the bench seat. I installed a extra rear gas tank that is 24gal along with the front tank which is 24 too I believe. I can send pics to serious buyers. I will post pics later. Think FARM TRUCK check out YouTube.
