[quote=ly n low;7346730]Either way your tires would be the same size. It's all about offsets. When I did my truck I plan the backspacing on my wheels accordingly and have no rubbing problems due to turning or cornering.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
I've just joined your forum and would like to share some pictures of my families 1959 Canadian Built Short box Fleetside.
It's in now for a restoration but these pictures are what I drove to have it done. https://goo.gl/photos/uPicC82Ce2gRgnvv6 https://goo.gl/photos/NVg8VbQ9Xdfrn6Y99 Last edited by Foot Stomper; 10-29-2015 at 12:15 AM. Reason: trying to get google picture link to function |

Nice truck Footstomper, cool side spears on those trucks, looks fairly solid. Would like to hear more about it, came from Saskatchewan I see.

good eye on the Sask plates. Regina and area truck for longer than we have had it. Trying to track down who had it in the 60's... nothing confirmed yet. Go to my build thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=686989 if you want more information and/or wish to see it on it's next stage. Darcy |

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
I hope it's ok to post a picture of my truck without a proper introduction.
I bought it when I was 16 years old in 1978 and drove it to high school. It's been through several transformations in the last 35+ years. This is the latest. 1950 GMC Thanks! Steve |

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
First post.... my work in progress For now I call it "World truck". It has parts from:
Japan (Supra JZA80 IFS,IRS, Brakes etc) Canada (Cab, box, etc) Italy/Slovenia (Engine, torque tube, gearbox, most of the interior) USA (wheels) Jamaica (Engineering, Sweat, elbow grease) Color, step and one piece windows are Photoshopped I know the wheel is not centered in the wheel housing, has been corrected after this mockup. Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Haha Lets just say for now that it has paddle shifters, a manual 6 speed gearbox, and the engine looks very similar to this. As far as a build thread i am swamped with work and working on this thing so it will have to wait for a while.
