Re: post all bagged c10 here
Heres mine... It doesnt get nearly as low as most with air... I built the truck with springs then decided to throw air on it and didn't want to cut it up... Its not notched into the bed and the inner fenders are still in it and its got a pretty tall tire... The one I am building now is getting hammered.... Stay tuned!

At this drop amount, the front inner fenderwells & the rear bed floor don't have to be removed or cut. They will be the limitation of the drop. Quote:

Re: post all bagged c10 here
Question for all you bagged guys who either rub bad when layed out, or lay frame when layed out. What do you do if you lose air completely??? How do you look under the truck, how do you tow it? What do you do??
One of the reasons i didnt go as low as if i did lose air i would want to still be able to drive home. If you come up with a good response, that might give me the reason to porterbuilt the front end on this thing.

Re: How about some pics of bagged C-10's
I made my 56 Belair so it almost touches the ground, and still be able drive it. Unless you keep extra parts. If the air bags are installed correctly and doesn't rub on anything, along with the air lines the only trouble would be the electrical. That's why I like to have at least 2 compressors.
BTW, NICE TRUCK

if you air out and cant get a jack under it, here the solution for the back...have a hidden hitch behind your tag. slide an "extention step" (thing they sell for people to use as a step) in and it will give you a good place to jack onto. the front should be easy to jack onto the frame horns

seems like running each bag indepependantly is the way to cure this concern. the chances of losing operation of all 4 bags at once is slim to none. If your compressors die, it is a good idea to have an emergency shrader valve somewhere on your tank as a backup fill. |
