Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
here's an update on my 82 project. Been on the back burner for a while, but last weekend I got the 4 inch suspension lift done. Kind of wish I'd gone 6 inch, at least in the front. Doesn't look tall enough yet. Amazing how shiny it looks in the pic, it's actually not, it's a dull black. 2 coats of rolled on Rustoleum, hasn't been wetsanded or buffed. Haven't done the left side wheels yet either. Coming along ok, for a guy with no money and not much time.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
I still think it needs more lift in the front, but maybe I'll take some leafs out of the back instead. it's got a rear spring pack made for a wrecker, so it rides rough empty. That picture actually looks level, but the ground was uneven. Sitting on pavement it's still got a heck of a rake to it, front doesn't even look lifted. So it looks like it was jacked up in the rear, and the duals make it look like that's why it sits so high, when its not. I need to get a welder or pay someone to do some work for me. I hate not having a tailgate but the hinge rotted off and I need to get some metal on there to mount a new hinge to. I have two new chrome bumpers for it, but the rear has to be cut off, and the front I can't change until I swap the lights into the grill. Everytime I try to do something there's something else that has to be done first. It looks pretty rough like this, you have to picture it with a chrome bumper and a nice tailgate with all the silverado trim.
