From what I understand, if you change the hood you also have to change the fenders and grill to make it work with no other mods. He and others I have seen on here have made modifications to make the later grills work with the earlier hood/fenders. With enough time and money, anything is possible.

As we speak, a wrecker is moving my 68 out of the yard to a powder coating friend. I traded a VW "Thing" for all the work. I will keep you posted as the work gets done. It should be cherry when finished.

Here is my 70 GMC.
I have noticed a few other pictures with bed rails that look just like these. I thought a PO had added them, they look like roof rails from a station wagon. Does anyone know if they were an option? I dont think so. Thanks Dusty
