Thanks for the compliments guys. i really appreciate it. its just your standard (budget drop) 3 inch spindles in the front and wacked off some coils. the back is flipped and lowering blocks. wheels r 20x7 coys up front with 225-35s and backs r 20x10s with 275-40s. its funny ,this truck has been painted for about 7 years now and ive gotten more compliments on the paint in the last week than all the years before just because of the wheels.lol. im really happy with how it looks and rides at this point. tires are a bit small for me in front but im doing some research for a taller tire. ive been told the 225-35 is the ONLY tire that will fit that rim. i refuse to believe it .

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

i found out early in my years of owning a driverslicence and cars that wheels make a car look better more then anything else
paint a truck matt black and its just a matt black truck put some coys under there and the truck is a potentional hot rod

realy like the flames you done on that truck btw there verry whell proportioned ....... i seen a couple where they dont get the licks right they look to fat or lobsided for some reason , the ones on youre truck look great

MAN. it sure is nice to chat with NICE people. i appreciate all the comments. My local forum here in town is full of "world class truck builders" that would never tell you that youve done a good job on something or give u props for a nice vehicle. I just think i might have found a forum that has down to earth people. i have a feeling that ill b spending alot of time chatting with u all. thanks!!!

That's sharp coondog. Welcome to the boards.

What are the stats on the truck? Suspension, engine, interior, history...

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

This truck is a 1981 GMC, I bought this truck from a family friend with 55,000 miles on the factory straight 6. I installed a freshly rebuilt 350 with a mild cam, Headers, 2 1/4 inch pipes with stage 2 flow masters and a 350 Transmission. 3 inch DJM drop spindle for the front, DJM 5 inch axle flip kit in the rear, 15 inch rally wheels, beauty rings and centers wrapped in 275/60/R15 Cooper Cobra G/T's. I plan on painting this truck very soon.

Yes, they do look great with both headlights on at one time but other drivers do not think so when you are in town driving down main street trying to look cool. Good looking truck and welcome to the board
