Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
man these things are huge...no way they would fit there ! the spot where they are setting is the only possible spot to put them, the way they are made they have to stay in that triangular pattern if i could seperate them i could put them alot of places

Mike, I used the same horns under my bed. You can modify them to fit.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
As you know, I have a stepside, my 5 gallon tank is in the rear, right in front of the compressors. The exhaust can still be routed to the rear, ESP on a fleet, and without sacrificing power.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
thanks guys i appreciate that ! Last nights progress, attempt #2 at building my filler panels i think i got it this time, gonna get the holes dimple dyed today , then bead rolling, then bend it in the brake ! hopefully this works ! instead of trying to 45 the corner and go with the fender to core support brace now i am going behind that brace and doing a 90

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
depending on how close you want to stick to your mock up; take into account the length required for the bends. For a 90 deg bend on soft steel or aluminum the formula for addition or reduction length needed would be:
L= (0.64 x T ) + (1.57 x R ) Where L = length T = thickness in inches R = inside radius of bend in inches This only accounts for the bends made on the break. The angles of the bead and dimple would be calculated separately. This concludes your nerd broadcast for the day....
