Awesome pics Mike, I've been following along on IG too. Your truck looks right at home with the rest of the beautiful cars and trucks at the show.

Thanks Ryan. I can't explain how fun the nascar ride was. I'd like to take the class this fall so I can drive one.

Dang Boynton! I must have just missed you. I don't remember seeing your truck. You must not have been in the trick truck coral Saturday? I made it out to the big main area a few times but only saw about half the cars.
I only parked in that spot for a few minutes, then moved to the main road next to Tim in the white and black truck.
I didn't spend much time with the truck, I was like a kid in a candy store out there..... Nice pictures, thanks for sharing. Your truck looks great!

I also met long time forum friend ls1nova71 (Eric). Here's a few pics of his super
cool LS powered 1933. He was doing LS swaps before most people knew what they were.

Thanks LC for the explanation. I vaguely remember that now.

Ha, I didn't know you knew Eric! He's a great guy, I just saw him this weekend. Yeller would not be nearly as nice as it is without him. Glad you had fun, I gotta get down there one day.

Yeah, he's good people. I wish we would have had more time to visit. He has forgotten more about LS motors and swap than most will ever know.
We need to meet up when you get down this way or me up that way.

Re: 1969 Short Wide

Just a quick update, I have been driving my old truck when weather allows. My wife and I just made the 810 mile round trip to Conroe, Texas for the Lonestar Throwdown. It was a great show. Got to meet up with a bunch of new and old friends.
The truck performed great. Only one little hiccup when the fuel pump gulped a little air going up a long steep hill. A short delay and we were back on the road.

I plan to change a few things on the fuel setup that should prevent that from happening again.

Here's a few pictures from the trip.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Thanks Rob, the tank is a standard blazer tank, so no baffles. It's the first time I've ever had this happen. I will be changing the tank and pump setup before I drive that series of hills in southern OK.

Thanks Keith. It's always amazing when you cruise these trucks how folks come right up and visit about them. It usually starts with "my dad had one of these" or "my grandpa had one of these.....

Very cool on making the trip and the truck still looks awesome! It's nice to hear you only had minor hiccup and were able to keep going.
